My experience is that no finishes really last on this stuff, but I saw Penofin Transparent Ipe at the hardware store this morning so I got a can. I reconfigured this table a bit, made stronger legs from the old ones, and bolted them on instead of using screws and glue. We'll see how it holds up all around.
Glad he didn’t kill himself with the BASE jump at the beginning. Also cannot believe how much kinetic energy must be in the jump at around the 5 minute mark at what looks to be close to top speed.
indeed

Been revisiting Hall & Oats this morning. Contrary to my memory, they don't have very many good songs do they? The beautiful Sara Smiles, She's Gone, and there has to be a third, right?
Brushing up on the poems of Robert Service. I learned of his work very early in childhood, as he's quite popular in Alaska. My High school was named Robert Service High.
We had a local TV celebrity in Anchorage named Larry Beck, who went to all the grade schools reciting Robert Service poems.
Looks gorgeous. The wood is a bitch to work with. Processed 36 linear feet today and it was not enjoyable.
My table and coasters have been outside for about a month with the Penofin and I cannot tell the difference from when I put them out.
I wish I had a hardware store selling Penofin locally; I have to drive an hour each way.
Finished this up last night. Thoroughly enjoyed it. I can see how it was an unplanned addition to the three-book series, and it does a great job of filling in a lot of gaps. Just a minor issue...
I'm tempted, it must be decades since I went to a hifi show of any sort. But I'm not sure of the point i am very happy with my mostly modern t2 and sr007 combination....
