  5. I did. He confirmed it’s not a 300B output. He said the 300B isn’t powerful enough so it needed a Mosfat for the output, but I’m not really sure what that means. reference: CanJam NYC 2023 Impressions Thread (February 25-26, 2023) | Page 16 | Headphone Reviews and Discussion - Head-Fi.org so lets be specific 1) mosfet for output. lets rephrase that. 4 x apex class C high voltage power opamps. 2) 300B not powerful enough? pair of tubes is good for 18 watts. more than enough to damage your hearing. All of my tube designs that use el34 you can substitute emission labs 300b. with an adapter and extra filament transformers. Works great. plenty of power. including bh, gg, t2 and megatron. and justin's grand cayman. just because jack does not know how to correctly design amplifiers with 300b...

  10. I use a bureau to store some of my stereo cables. One drawer each for IC's, speaker cable, and power cords. Cleaned out my speaker cable drawer, as well as consolidated some cables I had in my closet.... This - plus 2 other sets not in pic - is extra....Jesuit Christmas, I'm a hoarder! 🙄😄

  11. Repair time.. Yep the 1965 Ford Falcon needed some help after 400523 miles. disassemble Well there's your problem... Head gasket said 'see ya' after 100,000 miles or so. So cylinders 3-4 were buddy breathing. So after a lot of cleaning and a trip to the local O'Reilly's, I was able to get it all put back together before the shop closed. drove home just fine.

  12. Shelly, Marc, Claire and I had a great time at the Village Vanguard seeing John Zorn's quartet with Julian Lage. Great stuff. Sorry that our Travel Team time has again come to the end, but I am really glad we're getting the band back together! Next time we need even more participation. This place is right next to our hotel. I'm thinking I need to get some dumplings to keep the streak going...😁

  14. I had no idea that line was used in the beginning of this movie. Pretty funny. Well, that's a tough decision. I did like the movie, but as Antonio has said, his movies are just too long. It could have lost an hour, without loosing continuity.

  18. Oh, those? They are just bog standard round pads, 1.1mm drill. I used a 1.9304 size on them instead of the Auto in Eagle. I used a square pad for pin 1. EDIT: Here's the datasheet as it is helpful tkd cp600as-e.pdf

  24. Feeling pretty awesome, and hoping I can do more..... I got the OK to take an old work laptop, as well as using one of my own. Wiped disks, refreshed OS (Windows 10 Pro OEM for ~$10!), and donated them via a local "Buy Nothing" FB group. One went to a woman who has no computer (does have a Smartphone but not always easy to do a lot on the small screen), and goes to the local library for computer work. Second went to a woman who's husband was just laid off, and they are keeping money tight - don't want to spend anything on even a used laptop right now. So this will help with his job search. I told the work folks who OK'd the one laptop how this turned out, and I'm trying to do more. We have some laptops that come in and are fully written off and removed from inventory. I'm now checking with the CIO and our Legal team, to see if I can do more of these refreshes and donations. Such a nice thing, I love doing this and hoping it can continue....

  25. ^ Agreed. The vinyl revival makes sense regarding sounds quality. Tapes are just inferior in every way. Nastalgia would be the only motivation. I'm old enough to remember the one thing that made tapes worthwhile other than portability, to make copies. That usefulness went away with burnable CDs. Fuck I'm old. That's my point.

  26. You can either use split or a single GRHV psu board, your choice there is no difference, just layout choices. The amp pcbs are 1 channel per board, you’ll need 2. You don't have to use a GRLV, you can use the onboard 15V circuit that is included as part GRHV psu.
