  1. The magnetic circuit on the AEON is singled ended, with magnets on only one side (ear side) of the diaphragm. Electrically, it can be driven by a balanced signal, so you should be good to go.

  2. I've never used a Central Station but it's kind of old tech. Most folks use them to augment their interface/mixer to route audio to multiple monitors and headphones. Unlike an interface, it only had a dac and no ad conversion I believe. BTW I spent 5 years in a music tech program in college. I started out learning mixing/mastering and got hooked on production after finishing a series on interactive game sound. If I was to give advice it would be to volunteer for everything and be sure and do some or all of the classes on post production audio. There are more jobs involving "sound to video" than anything else out there these days and it's growing out of freakin' control.

  6. Balanced done right gives you double the slew rate and 4 times the power. If it's a 4 pin xlr it's good to use on the gsx. Best with balanced source. the headphone cannot otherwise know if it's driven from a balanced or unbalanced source.

  7. Great, ain’t it?!? In all seriousness, my blue 2009 Dodge Challenger R/T weighs more due to the addition of safety and go-fast kit and is ~1.5 seconds faster in the quarter mile at this point. Low 10’s @ 13x mph vs 8.7 secs @ 161 mph in the quarter is a huge delta. The Demon sure is nicer to drive though HS

  10. Unfortunately, I don't know a cheap way to do that. As far as I know, it's going to require a dock with a spdif input like the OWC Thunderbolt 3 dock. https://eshop.macsales.com/shop/docks/owc-thunderbolt-3-dock It's actually more of a Presonus question so you should shoot them an email to find out what they suggest. You might be able to use a thunderbolt to hdmi adapter to an hdmi to spdif. I'd still check with Presonus though.

  12. The amp camp was meant to be an easy to build and safe introduction into the hobby. I have six Amp Camp stereo amps so as an intro it worked quite well All are used for phones, they will drive Fostex T50's loud enough to quickly damage your hearing. None of my off the shelf 89db/W speakers work well with this amount of power. not that it sounds bad just not enough drive to wake them up. the F5 does do the job. you might like them, you might listen differently think small room, efficient speakers, modest volume DiyAudio sells quality kits and have excellent documentation +1 what Craig & JimL said
