  1. My wife and I walked around a hippie college town here in Ohio, then we hiked (the planned activity) for five or so miles, then we rock climbed, hen we hiked back, and then we watched The Road, which Colie had never seen. A combination of losing lots of weight and working out with weights really surprised me when I nearly launched myself when I went over the lip of a boulder, today. I am now starting to believe that I’m not fat, I think. I’m not exactly thin, though, but it’s getting there.

  6. Germany were very, very fortunate but will not win the World Cup with that laughable defense. Belgium is my pick on current form. The team is stacked and they finally seem to have both a competent manager and good spirit in the dressing room.

  7. 100% agree. Wish they’d just used white gold applied hour markers on all the dials, but Rolex knows what they’re about I suppose. [emoji6]

  8. Nahh, I just mostly have poor impulse control. One is still sitting in Japan so it will either be sold at some point or just kept in the box. Yup I did that but it is still annoying.

  10. I think both free kick goals were impressive for different reasons and both were taken under high pressure situations. Even amongst the great footballers, not many have the mental strength to take matters in their own hands and score. I've watched it on ITV and the commentators said the placement was excellent for him and he has a very high chance. And after the matched they've looked at it again and observed that he made a little delay, waiting for the goalkeeper to move just slightly off-position, and that was enough not to have a chance of saving. But the tension itself was just as thrilling. Sweden could have easily led 2-0 in the first half, there was a penalty not given as well. Kind of controversial about the video referee applications. On the one hand, it would be more fair if it was more objectively used (better judgement and also less possibility to manipulate the result) but on the other hand, it would be more boring as well, so I'm curious how they are going to evolve further. And the trolling towards Boateng, in the first half they've spoken about his enormous collection of shoes (about 650 pairs), and after the send-off somebody brought it in again and the other guy's response was: "Well, he must be in his slippers now" lol and another one from the Irish in the aftermath as well ?

  11. It was a great kick that of Kroos', he just got the necessary angle from the side kick from his pal. That's why he's so valuable to Real Madrid, he delivers when it's most needed. I've suffered a couple of such nail-biting games this season on the Champions League. It would have been easier for the rest of the aspirants having Germany back to home, but it's more fun with them in

  12. I had a conversation with CGAW. Nothing fancy, just apples and peeling vs. Veggie Wash. Didn't get nervous, didn't say anything stupid, just a normal conversation between two coworkers. Okay, maybe a little bit of a spaz, but...you know, baby steps.

  21. Lesson learned today. "You can't win a medal in a fencing tournament if you fence like Barney with a bad case of hemorrhoids". I hate the world right now. and the new member hifillutin avitar is really annoying me. Dude, please change it.

  22. Lost another friend of mine. Cyclist/audiophile/bastard. You guys probably would have gotten along with him. He is the friend I made during my days with the Tour de Cure. He raised a lot of $$$ for the cause and he was good to Xavier, even donating Xavier's final 20$ in his last year while we were at a rest stop in the middle of a ride. 55 years old. Had a heart attack. Died alone and HR found him a couple days later when he didn't show up for work. He was surrounded by my Project Debut Carbon I sold him when I moved out here. That's 2 friends I've lost in the past 30 days. Fuck. RIP, Michael Woodard. Sent from my LG-H932 using Tapatalk

  23. ...in other news I have the SR-009S sitting on my head. This is one of the very first sets shipped out and I only plugged them in just over an hour ago so first impressions only. It's funny to see what is essentially SR-007's parts on them and they do look very nice. Those stators always should have been gold plated as it looks so much better. In terms of sound my reaction is more mixed. Now the good...that horrible forward balance on the old 009's is gone. The treble is extended but well controlled, more like a refined version of the L700's without their slight bright nature. This is a massive change to the better. Now for the less great part...the bass suckout which is present in a part of the spectrum. When I got them I just plugged them into my office system (regular Carbon fed by a Denafrips Ares) and put the player on random. Don Henley - The boys of summer came on (fitting given the lack of a summer here) and the track just sounded thin and distant. I also tried one popular Icelandic song which starts with all the focus on the snare drum (Das Capital - Blindsker in case it is online) and it just sounds weird. They should sound powerful and heavy but on the 009S it is weak and distant sounding. I need to do some digging as to what is causing this but two things spring to mind, a port hidden in there or those awful earpads. The 009 earpads are a terrible design so that will probably be my first stop. I will need to do a bunch more listening but I'm a bit disappointed now...
