  1. I know it sounds kind of corny, but these updates reminded me of when my grandmother died. Some cousins in NJ hosted the extended family and very close friends, and we reminisced about our grandmother and focused on new life: all the kids/grandkids around. It was an amazing weekend, ended up being really positive and full of laughs; and it just stuck in my memory. The parallels of "good news within bad" seemed to set that off. Happy birthday's to the little ones, and best of luck and good wishes to the big ones.
  2. I'm definitely watching too (just not commenting here for a while). My nephew was lucky to be at that 8-1 game....major jealousy. I think the Bruins can now take this series, I was also hesitant after games 1 and 2. Not because I didn't think they had the capability of winning, just that they weren't playing the best/beast they can. Now....I think they can even overcome the last change benefit Vancouver gets. If they can play their game again on the road, they can take the next one too. But we'll see, Vancouver was #1 in the regular season for a reason, I would never assume anything. I'm just saddened that they had to lose Horton, even if he is now an inspiration for them.....
  3. At work trying to help figure out why our reporting servers and DB servers aren't talking with each other well all the time. Have a vendor on the hook to help, but they've sent uis what we already saw for possible fixes. Now I wait while our Op's group looks into them. Great news from many a folk otherwise, always happy to see good stuff here!!! Congrats to all, from places to rent, to new spouses, to bikes
  4. Mmmmm....Turbo Dog and mud bugs. Sounds great, except for the mud bugs. I think I have 2 Turbo Dog bottles left from a couple weekends ago, need to check my basement frudge. I have that sudden hankerin'
  5. Excellent news, Nate, now for some nightly sleep! And happy 1st to Libby, Haj! Me: went with family to a nice seaside town in MA, Newburyport. They always have a nice festival for Memorial Day, with food, shopping, and entertainment. Then went further on to Plum Island for a short beach visit. Back home to paperwork and bills, but now relaxing.
  6. Despite the very low score, one heck of a game! And yes, Vancouver is going to be super tough. Bruins played them very well during regular season, but they (Van) seemed to have brought their game up another major notch for the playoffs. But the Bruins still have a good chance if they play their best. Go B's!

^^^ I'd buy that ONLY if the back says "He doesn't give a shit" (none of the "doesn't care" crap)
  8. Congrats, Al! And prep for a nice NYC vacation for yourself....maybe 3 weeks will be a good amount of time
  9. Spent the day today helping my son and his friend on their "Mitzvah Project" (good deed when becoming a Bar-Mitzvah). They had helped organize and host a drive for the Gift of Life, a bone marrow registry organization. We got over 75 people to register, worked with some amazingly wonderful volunteers, and the kids learned some valuable life lessaons today. A truly great experience! Better news is that we'll be doing another one in July.
  10. Belated Birthday wishes here too, hope it was great!
  11. Late to the congratulations, but all the best Nate! Andrew is a great name, if my son (Andrew) may say so
  12. An American Standard Cadet 3 Flowise Round toilet.....our 26 year old one was shitting the bed....so to speak
  13. Missed the game 7 between Wings and Sharks, sorry to see one of them lose though! From what i saw, it was one of the more enjoyable series I've seen.... I hope the Bruins can do something against the Lightning. They seem to be a fairly complete team, and the Bruins' best 2-way forward is out with injury. Maybe Seguin will shine a bit, but they need the extra defensive capability, not to mention the incredible face-off win %, that Bergeron brings....TB has some amazing firepower!
  14. Good stuff Nate! Hope it works well. If you still are interested in the Focal's, touch base with the guys at Fidelis in Derry (Walter (owner) and Bill), I think they used to carry that Sib/Cub (?) sub/sat system....since they moved from Salem to Derry, though, I'm not sure they still do. But might be worth a query....
  15. I look at the Sharks and Red Wings play, it's great hockey to see! Haven't seen enough of the playoff-version of the Lightning, but I'd worry about any team going against the winner of this series....
  16. Have eXtremely Happy Birthday's gents!
