Took my son to his soccer game today, froze our behinds off. Good game, though; even without two of their top players, we won 6-0 and Andrew got a nice goal....
Also had the intention of doing some leaf-cleaning, but errands took longer and the rain came quicker than I thought. Turned to all snow, accumulating somewhat eagerly now.....
Watching ther Bruins meltdown....again
Crap, sorry to hear that Haj; hope you get it back soon. I have this pic somewhere of my son playing in about 5" of snow in front of a pumpkin, was an earlier-in-October storm than this year IIRC. We should be getting into the 50's later this week, and hopefully the trick-or-treaters won't be hindered. But still.....dang rude of this weather.....
I think we found Tyll's heir Seriously, I am glad for you, and so very freaking jealous!
For me, it's been a heads-down, lock the vacant boss' door and work in his office day. Lots of mellow music to keep me calm and steady, latest is France Black.
Hmmm, what is it with the East-coasters? I was up at 4:00 today too, needing that caffeine kick around now.....stole into my absent boss' enclosed office to listen to music and have a little privacy (so I can get on Head-Case )
Hope you guys rest well tonight!
A nice little Samsung Series 3 notebook. Core i3, 4G, 320G HDD, 11.6" screen.....nice, lightweight, and decent speed. With a coupon, cost $350. This'll be a nice thing to carry around, and use as a music source.....
My Silverline Preludes go to mid-to-low 30's with 2 x 3.5" drivers. Not hair-blowing air movement, but they are tuneful and deep enough to not scream for subwoofer usage. I would think, if not a single 3" dricver, than maybe a small array of 3" drivers, would be kind of cool.... I think Audio Pro used to have a couple subs in years pasdt with several smaller drivers (6" I'm thinking) to get depth and speed.....
We went pretty overboard for our son's first, I think it's kind of natural if it is the first child too.....it WAS worth it, though, to see his face when we fed him cake for the every first time. We have a couple shots somewhere, he has this wide-eyed look like "...what is this that you've been holding out on me....??!!!"
We learned pretty quickly in subsequent years to tone down the major portions of parties, and just let the kids enjoy.....
Good stuff! I always liked the bang for the buck of their early Link DAC....briefly heard a Platinum DAC at a dealer's, it was a consignment sale beyond my price even used. But it sounded REALLY nice, even in an unfamiliar system.....
Now I just to figure out a good pun about resisting the resistors....
