That is awesome. My twisted sense of humor would have me putting a basket with lotion in it down there before the glass was installed.
  3. Meh. I'm just going for the Head-Case camaraderie, and to pick up chicks.
  4. Happy Birthday Kevin!

Great post Stretch! It's all about perception.
  6. Well, I've heard that the β22 is a poor match for them, so take that info and do with it what you will.
  7. I don't like them either, and it's not just because they're Sennheisers. They're technically a good headphone, but I find them boring and a bit lifeless.
  8. I think nwavguy and Coconut Audio should partner. Nature sees to it that certain things are destined to meet. The dung beetle and a steaming pile of dung are a fine example.
  9. Mike it really is beautiful, but it sounded exactly like my laptop speaker system.

Would this be referred to as Wayne's World?
  11. I would steer clear of Harbor Freight if this is a tool you'll want years of maintenance free service from. I'm not a fan of today's Craftsman tools either. Delta and Hitachi are both pretty good tools in general. What is your budget? Do you have a Woodcraft store in your area? The staff there are very knowledgeable (not so in most home improvement stores), and can help assess your needs, and recommend the right model. They sell Rikon, Jet and Powermatic, all of which get the Dr. Wood seal of approval. Believe it or not drill presses can have many differing functions, so a knowledgeable sales person can really save you some money and get you the right tool.
  12. WTF indeed! That is a great rockumentary.
  13. Feeling dumb is dumb, a stroke or possible stroke is nothing to ignore, not even for a few minutes. You did the right thing. So glad it wasn't a stroke!

    Girls are icky.
  15. Good vibes to Levon. Levon was a pretty good actor too. 1988's 'End of the Line', with Levon, Wilford Brimmley, Mary Steenburgen, Holly Hunter, Kevin Bacon ... is a favorite of mine.

    Makita matata!
  17. Pirelli - Parnelli...6 of one, half dozen of another.
  18. Sorry, but why is that important Larry? That's way too loud for listening sessions, so what is this supposed to tell you? Isn't it about how the amp sounds at listening levels? My NAD amp has massive headroom, but it doesn't sound as good as my F5.

You guys just want to try the Butt Probe...
  20. You just had to ask that huh?
  21. I feel for you Nate. The little man wakes me up 3 - 4 times a night, but at least I can go right back to sleep. I've gotten where I can get up, pee and be back asleep within 2 - 3 minutes now. Old age is so much fun.
  22. There are a multitude of things to do in Austin. I'll try and gather ideas. I'm not sure Californian's are allowed to spend an entire week in Texas, but I'll look that up too.
  23. Felt laced with penicillin.
  24. I don't have a lot of experience in this area, but this Kenneth Cole bag is leather, and IMO nicely understated. http://www.ebags.com...elaid=292835726 More expensive, but even better looking... http://www.ebags.com...364661880007321 Sorry, I see that second one is too small.
