  1. Actually, no. It was left in the woods some time in 1954. The owner's family (and the owner) were on local tv last summer and talked a bit about it. Snopes has the correct story, too.
  2. Anyone used modushop.biz? I had good luck with a previous build using one of the Galaxy cases, but have not found any dealers left in the States. modushop has Galaxy, so that might be the best place for me. I don't know. Crap, where do people get aluminum cases these days? Thanks.
  3. Also post an "agree" as well. Fairly easy to stuff the board, and nothing really to tweak once done. Save this for your next build. I still use mine a lot!
  4. I'd be happy to repair those for you. Shoot me a pm if you like. Edit: D'oh, just saw Nate's response. Oh well. Either way!
  5. Good stuff, Wayne! Glad those events went well after hearing about some of the ones in the past! 35 and foggy here in Woodinville, WA. Will have my mother over for Christmas day today, so it'll be calm and quiet, hopefully. The lamb (above) sounds great, although I think we'll be having Manhattans and teriyaki chicken here. No, I don't know which country that combination comes from. Probably Headcaseistan. Happy Christmas day to everyone.
  6. Big win tonight. Had a niece's husband call me a few weeks back asking about entry-level tables. He was looking towards the AT LP120, although I told him they would get more out of the Music Hall USB-1 table instead. Thinking he wouldn't act on it, I sortof forgot about the discussion. But I saw her tonight and she was thankful and elated: the Music Hall turntable was totally cool and sounded great for her. She was already scouting for new records and was enjoying the vinyl sound. Score!
  7. Merry Christmas to all at Head-case. Have a great holiday season!

Excellent. I'll grab this whenst I arrive home. Thanks for the bump.
  9. Oustanding. And pretty funny: "Piano solo. 14" Lol. Watching all the accidentals go by is such a telltale sign (to me, anyway) of how free and amazing jazz is. He's playing so much that's outside the key signature, and it's a beautiful thing to see "live". I remember back in music theory classes that, many times with my own quarterly composition projects, I usually just played first then sat down and tried to score it later. It just felt better, musically.
  10. Booz Allen. Is that a reference to msft??? Nah, it's Expeditors. A fairly small (in the shipping business, anyway) company. 13K people worldwide, but just 1200 here in Seattle. It was pretty amazing this year, as always. Great food, rubbing elbows with the muckymucks. We made it home after 2am (after stopping for some whiskey, then again to get a couple of photos of my wife in front of a graffiti wall at the skatepark near our home.)
  11. Dusty, sorry you're illin AND working from home. Ick. Get weller. Heading to the company holiday party tonight. Yes, me and 1200 of my closest (!) work mates will be living it up in the name of any possible winter holiday. Cheers to you all here tonight!
  12. My top holiday CD, next to Vince Guaraldi's Charlie Brown Christmas. Retro fun. As with other things in life, the first is the best.
  13. First year ever to be home and do our own thing, just the two of us. And you know what? It was probably the best of all.
  14. Awesome! Hey, Happy Thanks-whatever-ing-ukah to all here. Apparently, in the history of our country, people used to have homes with enormous kitchens, inside of which one could stoke a fire or play the accordion while Aunt Susan humped a turkey.
  15. It looks like another obnoxious kickstarter product. Kill them. Then sue their families.
  16. Hope your birthday is screaming fun!
  17. Wow, we barely have any snow in the mountain passes here in Wa. Geez you guys!
  18. Dinsworth (who I think was a Character in some Monty Python episode) Happy Birthday. Hope you have a grand year ahead.
  19. A bit rambling at times, but a nice job at a subject that's more faceted than I anticipated.
  20. Insanely creepy. Love it. "You damn kids. I'll carve a pumpkin for you. Damn kids. DAMN KIDS."
  21. Hi Brent, I'm glad to hear that things are smoothing out for your mom. Wake up calls can go so terribly wrong. I have an inlaw who has WPW Syndrome. Make sure that any cardiologist involved rules this out (or as a possibility, as the case may be). Edit: Wow, that wikipedia article was a little much. Try this quick link to Mayo Clinic instead.
