  1. I need some precision drilling done on an angle bracket. I don't think FPE will be able to handle this sort of job, can anyone recommend someone that might be able to assist? It really isn't a matter of milling, just pretty complicated hole patterns that won't have as much play as a typical row of TO-220 devices, so need more stringent tolerance than I know I can get with a drill press...
  2. See if you can find this, more Mozart Piano Concerti
  3. I have a few spots that have paint on them, where likely my wife scrapped up against our garage. Is there a recommended way to remove this? Is this what "clay bar" is all about?
  4. I bought some stuff from Chemical Guys, got my windows tinted and replaced my rear view mirror, which had floating oil from the auto dimming feature. I also am considering replacing one of my headlight assemblies due to fogging plastic. Can I post here?
  5. I recently tried a Yogabed and was impressed. Only thing that is convincing me not to buy one is the name. It seems like you are wanting a firmer bed and as such you might consider it.
  6. Yes, yes indeed.
  7. From a performance standpoint or material standpoint? I have only a few Gulda discs in my collection, so that's why it was surprising to hear him "sing along". I have the Beethoven Concerti on the way, as this disc prompted the burning of the wallet. Mozart Piano works are something special, the other "hummer" Gould got him so very wrong Also, it seems in a few passages Gulda is actually talking, which is very odd as well.
  8. Yet another Bartok "Concerto for Orchestra" recording...
  9. I didn't realize Gulda was another hummer...
  10. Straight out of creative writing class! Here is a refresher: http://www.writerstreasure.com/tips-humour-creative-writeup/
  11. "find" with the "-exec" option. Cygwin (maybe powershell) on Windows and native on Mac.
  12. Then won't you need native Backblaze that runs on the NAS itself?
  13. Does anyone know if/when jpc.de has sales, or coupons?
  14. It's been a while since I listened to Sibelius Symphony no.2. It doesn't suck!
  15. I would love to find a copy of these released by Esoteric, and reasonably priced.
  16. No, that's not a contraction it's a portmanteau.

    Opera

So, I have accumulated a good amount of Opera over the years and have decided to take a systematic approach to listening through it. Some of the stuff has decent libretti and notes included, but I am looking for some additional external sources. I definitely would like a compendium that includes English translations, as I have a lot of Euro releases without any English, but also looking for reviews of performances and what not. Any recommendations of some things I can grab on Amazon? My goal is to do headphone (audio-only) listen-through and then BluRay / move theater / live and then back to a speaker rig (audio-only, probably) over say the next 3 years.
  18. Omega in Maine
  19. I like Tissot, but would tend to get the Seiko given that choice. Doesn't Reks have one for sale?
  20. No, don't really need matched devices... But I will still probably test and see where they end up, as I would like to parallel two devices if I can. I am not in a hurry, just securing parts, so if you decide to sell, let me know!
  21. I am looking for some more Sony VFET pairs, if anyone knows where I can find some other than Aliexpress. 2SJ28/2SK82 looking for 4 pairs.
  22. About :30 into this one and decided to share with HC!
