Ok. Just speaking from experience, having longer lands with these parts is nice to have. I generally do this with SMD capacitors, etc. as well.

I assume those aren't gull wing parts, but j-hook? I might extend the lands a bit more regardless as it really helps hand soldering these parts.

I find a C || R+C across the secondary and a common-mode choke after the first cap seems to be about as good as you can do. The filter needs to be tuned to the transformer though. -

IEC earth must go to chassis. You might need a ground loop breaker between star ground and chassis (anti-parallel diodes, RC, etc.)

I would try and rotate the toroid so where all the wires exit doesn't point towards the inputs.

Cleaned my grill. Which considering it has been in that exact position uncovered for two Michigan winters, I think it turned out okay. The top rack must be some really crappy stainless steel material or is just unrecoverable. The main grilling surface came out nearly as-new.
