IEC earth must go to chassis. You might need a ground loop breaker between star ground and chassis (anti-parallel diodes, RC, etc.)

What is between signal ground and the chassis, electrically / circuit-wise?

I would try and rotate the toroid so where all the wires exit doesn't point towards the inputs.

Cleaned my grill. Which considering it has been in that exact position uncovered for two Michigan winters, I think it turned out okay. The top rack must be some really crappy stainless steel material or is just unrecoverable. The main grilling surface came out nearly as-new.

Yeah, I remember that well! Dusty, likely your friends might argue they are on the same level from an eternal point of view. The question is how would they feel the need to be judging and treat the two people any different, or be loving and kind towards them, etc. I don't deal with child molestors much, but I do with a very strong patriarchal group of individuals that leads to other kinds of abuse, psychological and otherwise, in he guise of child-rearing and women.
