Magnetically shielded speakers.
I believe used they go for less than that -- the hard part is finding a pair that someone is willing to give up.

Pfff. I'm hardly the first. I believe that tradition is as old as two cavemen bartering over hot rocks. PS Good luck! PPS Ugh, just realized -- same state might imply taxes.- Singlepower Square Wave w/ DAC internal pics
That's what I was trying to say, yes.- Arthur Forty PSC EWS 1X headphones / anybody tried them?
This is not the same headphone, but I thought it appropriate considering some of the recent comments about its looks:- What If I Were Looking For a Complementary HP for The 750..?
Please report back, that looks very interesting. (Also, it's a great name for it.)- Singlepower Square Wave w/ DAC internal pics
Actually, I was thinking something like this:- Magnetically shielded speakers.
If they're retailers, they're not likely to take you up on your offer. You can show them this and try the old, "they didn't even sell for $750" tactic, which gives you a little more credence. Or, if you're passive like I am, you could just say, "what is your best price, including shipping and insurance?" That actually works sometimes, especially if you're polite about it. And tell them that "you're ready to buy now". But someone with more experience negotiating online will give you a better answer.- Arthur Forty PSC EWS 1X headphones / anybody tried them?
I'm pretty sure I don't want "plump" tonal quality. Sounds bloated. Me too!- Magnetically shielded speakers.
Computer cases are usually shielded, as long as you keep the cover on.- Good luck to SoFla HCers
You mean, "strong" wind, right? Because he got strong wind, but not necessarily good wind. In fact, "assault and battery" is probably more indicative of "not good".- Singlepower Square Wave w/ DAC internal pics
Or, you know, you could -- instead of worrying about "phases" and shit like that -- you could just divide the signal up into tiny increments based on time. Then you could amplify each bit separately. If you made your increments tiny enough, it wouldn't even have to be that accurate -- it could just be a full-on, full-off type number, and then it would have an equivalent effect.- The Official Head-Case Photography Thread.
Those are some really great shots, guys.- New Automatic Coffee Maker
Yeah, I wish Zojirushi would make a smaller one -- hey, Zojirushi owners, how long have you had your water heater? I have a cheap (forty-dollah) Bodum that lasted 3 years (since 2005).- Arthur Forty PSC EWS 1X headphones / anybody tried them?
That's a weird looking back, they aren't ribbons, perchance, are they?- Your recent music purchases
Yeah, those guys are pretty picky -- I remember reading an article once about a guy who was doing a master for them -- I think it was Keyboard magazine? He was getting really picky about things.- Good luck to SoFla HCers
Yeah, really, what sort of idiot goes parasailing in a potential hurricane?- Magnetically shielded speakers.
