Hooked up the new GS-1 and played lots of music through it.
Can now finally give the HF-1s a fair shake. Once I stop listening to the Quads. It sounds grrreat as a preamp.
A little custom woodworking, a few new cables and the office system may even feel secure enough to poke its nose into the "post a pic of your rig" thread.
The kids were apparently practicing for the New England Regional Cookie Tossing Championships all night. Based on their current form, I'd say they are both tipped to finish near the top of their respective weight classes. Ran out of clean PJs and bedsheets by 3 a.m. or so and had to do laundry, so just gave up on shut-eye and put a pot of coffee on. Today will be dedicated to barely keeping it all together and perhaps a deeply-ironic first viewing of the new "Sleeping Beauty" Blu-ray transfer.
On the bright side, FedEx reports that my new GS-1 will be here tomorrow.
Interesting, if uncorroborated, article about the hardware differences between the latest iPhone and iPod Touch. Apparently the Touch processor runs significantly faster than the iPhone.
Nursed sick children, made pancakes, arranged to meet a nasty margin call, built a Play-Doh moonbase, got laid on the sly, watched "Finding Nemo" for the 32nd time, tapped a keg of homebrew. I guess I always pictured middle age as more restful.

I can think of a few sites offering nothing but rather specific images that nonetheless appear to generate quite a substantial revenue stream.
And I should mention I detect no hint of irony among the sonic characteristics of my Apex. Perhaps the merest touch of sarcasm in the upper registers, though a less-discerning ear would likely simply take this to be ever-so-slightly tipped-up treble response.
