  1. Stop explaining yourself and start drinking more beer.
  2. Yeah, thank goodness the landscapers finally arrived today to clear the three inches or so of leaf litter we have around the house. Last year the snow made it before they did, so spring cleanup was a blast!

VMWare Fusion is half off ($39.99) today only with the coupon code CyberMondayDeal. If you have a Mac and want/need to be able to run occasional Windows apps seamlessly inside OS X, this is a no-brainer.
  4. Several courses of Azithromycin. Ear infections, sinus infections, bronchial infections -- you name it we got it.
  5. Chief and Sanus are two reliable brands that are widely available online. You shouldn't have to spend much more than $120. Try TigerDirect.
  6. Nice! That's the same guy I bought my speakers from. You did too, right?
  7. Then stop whining and start drinking more beer.
  8. Perhaps some varlet made off with it?
  9. 5800+ Drink and Cocktail Recipes Free.
  10. Thought I'd give this thread a bump as I've had the GS-1 in my system for a few days now and I'm very happy with the results. It sounds superb hooked up to the Duet, whether feeding my speakers or headphones. I don't find it at all dry or cold or solid state-y as I thought I might coming from a tube amp. The only change so far is that I'm listening to my 650s more again, as I think they might shade the 600s in this particular combo. It's nice to hear those extra bass notes when they are well controlled. Must admit, I pulled the trigger on this amp in a rush of blood and then was a little bummed when Ryan's Zana came up shortly afterward, because at the back of my mind I half expected to still end up there anyway. Now, though, I have to say it's really hard to honestly see myself needing to step up much from this level of performance. Such an elegant little thing, too. I'll stop gushing now.
  11. Mac mini apple pie. Needs pastry Duet.
  12. Happy Birthday!
  13. ^^^ I'm Pedobear, and I approve this mashup.
  14. Melted cheddar cheese on top of a fried egg on top of three thick slices of leftover Honeybaked Ham on top of a piece of wheat toast.
  15. Don't you have to be a virgin to successfully handle a unicorn? Perhaps that's the snag here.
  16. Happy Birthday! Enjoy yourself.
  17. South African Chenin can be good, too. Ken Forrester is a reliable producer with good US distribution. Kim Crawford is a good name to look for on bottles from New Zealand. This has already been mentioned, but there's good value in South American reds, particularly Malbec. Try Kaiken Ultra (their cabernet under the same label is also good), Santa Ema's higher-end Amplus bottlings, Catena Alta, La Posta. Most in the $15-$20 range. Clos de los Siete is an excellent Argentinian blend that seems to be quite widely available. Cheers!
  18. Death and taxes. Hangovers. Impotence doesn't sound like much fun. Oh, and Jazz obviously.
  19. Stuffed my old bird. Then prepared a turkey.
  20. Music Direct had it in their latest catalog at a provisional $1,999. They said it was seven flavors of awesome and you should buy it (from them).
  21. Happy Thanksgiving from a more recent English immigrant, though not a puritan.
  22. It's for tenderizing your beef, not firming it up.
  23. Glad I'm not the only one clueless about this particular topic. Guess a possible mitigating factor is my late start -- I graduated from university before Google even existed, in fact without ever accessing the public Internet. That's right whippersnappers, if you needed to know something back then you had to look it up in a book or find an actual human being with the required expertise. Crazy, I know. Erm, in regards to that last point, if any HC members did feel moved to (privately) point this old dog in the direction of locations where our common interests are pursued, I'd certainly be willing to try out some new tricks.
  24. Mint Aero bar. Food of the gods.
