  1. Nonsense. Tis' the season and all that and no one is getting left out on my watch.
  2. This. Well done.
  3. This! Way to go, V.
  4. Vicki, I'd do at least a couple of rides on a stationary/trainer before going back out on the road if it were me. It'd suck to get a few miles in and have an issue and be faced we walking or riding home on a sore ankle. And yeah, I've seen fat bikes but I'm just at my personal threshold for number of bikes and conditions that I choose to ride in.
  5. Jealous. It's been snowing here since before noon and actually sticking. I think riding season just officially ended.
  6. odd number.
  7. Happy Birthday!
  8. Yes, its reasonable in my book. Me - just boarded my flight home to Boston.
  9. It gets the pot as close to the inputs as possible and uses a shaft extension to get to the front panel.
  10. Good luck, Jacob.
  11. I'm waiting for the ginger avenger to show up for dinner.
  12. That's the lamest argument ever. At one point lots of stupid, undefendable things were culturally ingrained. Like slavery. Like women shouldn't vote. You get the point? I'm not arguing that gun control is the answer, although I actually do think that it's a piece of the pie, but rather that to say that because there is momentum in one direction is a reason not to do something. That's just lazy. As a parent I hurt for the families that this likely ruined. I just want to hug my kids right now.
  13. If the bike show was local I'd say go. But it strikes me as one of those things that might be really cool to browse around for a few hours, maybe half a day and then I'd be like, "I flew how far to get here?". It'd be like going to a headphone meet where you didn't know anyone. There's some fun to be had, but I can think of better ways to burn $$ and vacation time.
  14. As long as purple means progress I love it.
  15. Just walked past this.
  16. What Dusty said. Me - currently on a ferry to Seattle for dinner to get out for the night.
  17. Birgir, Are you guys at all worried about having at least one of the filaments connect so close to the pot/input? Seems like a place for noise to get in early on unless one is very careful. The power supply must be a bit of a beast as well.
  18. Feel better, Haj. Me - waiting to see Skyfall to pass some time tonight. Gotta love movie theaters that serve beer.
  19. Eff that, come to the southern part of the state and ride some rocks! On the pedal front, I'm clearly in the SPD camp. Simple, cheap, which is nice since I'm not gentle.
  20. First post updated with pairings.
  21. Figured I'd snap a picture before unpacking... That's carrying the M17x, its power supply, an iPad, its power supply, a Kindle, a bunch of audio cables, batteries, a jacket, a sweater, wallet, keys, a folder, Pico Power, a pad of paper, some pens, an umbrella, sunglasses, HF2s and I'm probably forgetting some other stuff.
  22. It's not too late. I'll give it till tonight or tomorrow, whenever I have a chance to do the drawing. I should have time and luckily have the laptop with me on travel so it'll be easier than trying to do it from the iPad.
  23. The brain worked out very well from a "everything fit" standpoint but I'm not sure there's a backpack made (this size anyway) that is going to make carrying 25lbs of crap around feel great. But I like the pocket layout, it fit in the overhead bin well, even stuffed to the gills. I'll try to post a picture of it packed at some point. Now to take a quick drive up to the training site before finding dinner. Glad to hear the ankle is feeling better, Vicki, butlleasedont overdo it and set yourself back.
  24. Just touched down in not so sunny Seattle. Time to hunt down luggage and a crappy rental car and decide how to get to the hotel.
