NAS vs. Drobo Storage for Mac Audio/Video Server
Personally I'd opt for the NAS solution to avoid the potential issues of noisy drives in the listening environment as well as only being able to direct couple the device to the source that I wanted to use it with. My NAS currently supplies music to my slimserver (and may someday be the slimserver) as well as video content to the PS3 and serves as the local hard copy backup for multiple machines.

Need paper comparison of Dynamid and B22...
Yup, I used several of them. The audio taper versions sold out a good few years ago so all you see now is the occasional linear taper. Even as recent as a couple years ago the audio taper versions were only $50 or so shipped from Germany. It's a pity that no one used them when they were available and Alps decided to kill them. And Solude, I'd use loctite on everything depending on which type you got. The types that I use don't require herculean strength to break, but do resist shipping and movement very well.

1. No clue on the gain, been way too long. Check amb's site and look at the boards, it only takes 2 resistor values to know for sure. 2. It'll puff like every other beta with a TRS jack on it if abused, use it with caution is about the best advice that I can give.

Ah, the old one. I'm not sure what someone is trying to say by "ground the chassis", I'd swear that the chassis is grounded on that amp and that it has a ground loop breaker in it.

Head-Case Fantasy Football
It's like what you want to do is get the Pats into 3rd and long because they are utterly worthless at defending it.

If you listen at 70dB I wouldn't bother with either. Sure, you get twice the slew rate (or some such nonsense) but you also probably more than double the cost, get more gain out of your source (more than likely) that you don't want to begin with, etc, etc. If you want to spend money wisely find a better attenuator for your 2ch beta22 and invest in ways to lower its noise floor.

You have exactly one post left to correct my first impression of you.

DIY Charity Raffle - Twisted Pear Ventus (built by me)
I took Kristopher out for a beer after work last night, completely spaced on taking a picture (d'oh) but after a late donation and a small addition on my part we ended up with a total donation of $2500. Kristopher was understandably shocked by the total and at a lack for words. The smile on his face was priceless and said all that needed saying in my book. So in the end I just want to say thank you to every one that donated and another special thanks to Twisted Pear for generously donating the parts that started all of this. I can't imagine it going any better than it did.

This just in from Random.org: That makes bhjazz the winner! I'll be coordinating things with him moving forward but I do just want to say thank you again to everyone who donated. We ended up with 218 tickets and a few donations outside the raffle process which adds up to a grand total of $2.434.44. I'll add some to that to make it a nice round number but that is just an incredible sum in my book. - DIY Charity Raffle - Twisted Pear Ventus (built by me)
