Today is the first real "GC" stage. I'm cheering for Vande Velde or Sastre for GC (I know I only have a small chance of either of them wining) and Cavendish for green.
I was hoping Boonen would do more on the sprints but he seems to be having a horrible time.
This has a bunch of good info on equal loundness issues:

In the end for most equalizations there are certainly "optimum" volumes.

It is one of those days at work, less than 3 weeks as assistant manager and massive fuckups from both above (huge budget shortfall) and below (stupid shit). Yay!
Absolutely and totally obsessed with it. I "watch" nearly every stage on the velonews race tracker then go home and watch the recording of the stages too.
Does yours look like this one? Mine does and that's not flat that's a matter of scaling. That said +/- 3dB isn't bad.
What annoys me is that they don't give you their target diffuse field curve just the deviation. The geek in me wants to know.
Nice writeup JP#s
I'm glad to see that more people are looking towards commercial DACs. In my opinion they absolutely destroy Audiophile DACs for value and performance (and usually add ADC as well).
The graph for my pair I'm sending back is much the same. +5 was my zero. The 100-12k I think is the IEC standard for equalization.
clarification: I really don't care about the squeak but because others do and I have a pair that do squeak it ruins resale (which I may or may not use depending on how my KGSS sounds). Headroom hooked me up. Great service as usual.
I get up at 5 am for my personal trainer 2x a week and work out 4 or 5 of the other days. Mostly cycling related (either on an acutal bike or on a trainer). I'm still a fat bastard but that will change over time. I wish I had my dad's metabolism not my mom's. I look at a cheeseburger and I gain 2 lbs.
Hoping to ride a century in the fall.
