Sounds absolutely fantastic Steve! I just saw Brian Blade Fellowship Band at the small space at SF Jazz last week and it was amazing (even though I was personally in a shitty mood). Very much looking forward to Eric Harland and Voyager in January at SF Jazz. Two of the best drummers drumming, or ever.

Seeing that picture from his later years reminds me that I sat at a table next to Mr. Kiel at Aqua Restaurant (also RIP) in SF. He was with an exceptionally short and petite blond woman and somebody who might have been interviewing him or at least entertaining him. He really was a giant of a man and it was something to behold when he unfolded himself and stood up to leave.

I went to the Giants vs. Dodgers game and watched the first part of the worst lost ever at AT&T Park. 17 runs on 24 hits -- both of which are records for opposing teams. I guess they were pissed we shut them out 9-0 last night.

I'm surprised that anyone likes the 5S size/aspect ratio. It seems so odd to me. I guess I will be getting the Plus size model to keep integration with the family ecosystem. Same size screen as the Note 2 I have carried at times and I never had trouble with it seeming too big.
