March 29, 200818 yr I'm still cleaning the records and haven't had a chance to listen to them yet. Ah, the old Nazi himself. I really like his CD of Beethoven's 9th.
March 29, 200818 yr Ok, update now that I've cleaned the records, these LPs are in really good shape, no scratches or scuffs, very few pops and I'm pretty sure a trip through one of those TNT vacuum machines will get rid of them.
March 31, 200818 yr both as 320 kb/s mp3. I wish Amazon will open up for the rest of the world soon, cdon.com could need some competition. Look forward to Sebastian Tellier as this album has been getting good reviews here.
March 31, 200818 yr One of my favourites of all time, I think that made it to my own personal #1 of that year.
March 31, 200818 yr I haven't given Marillion much time. This is the first album I got except a compilation album.
April 3, 200818 yr Bad Brains - S/T Where the fuck has this band been my whole life. I always knew on hearsay that they were good, but I didn't expect THIS good. Punk has always seemed anti-intellectual and anti-technical but these guys blow the doors off everything that punk supposedly stands for, and are absolute virtuoso musicians in their own right. It's just flat-out awesome music, no matter what genre it belongs to. The production, of course, is some of the worst I've ever heard, but go figure. It kinda adds to the whole thing actually, instead of detracting from it.

Didn't that only recently get released on vinyl, therefore offering a decent chance at high fidelity digital format, for the first time? Wasnt it only available as cassette? Or am I talking out of my ass?

April 5, 200818 yr Didn't that only recently get released on vinyl, therefore offering a decent chance at high fidelity digital format, for the first time? Wasnt it only available as cassette? Or am I talking out of my ass? IIRC, the vinyl is on Earache, who sources all their vinyl from a plant somewhere in Europe that is only able to press vinyl using a CD as the master source. Bad!!
April 10, 200818 yr One of these filled with vinyl for the Bay Area: Hey Mike, don't you really mean "from the Bay Area"? Or are you starting to export vinyl from Florida to there?
April 10, 200818 yr Yes, Mike, the Bay Area doesn't need more vinyl. Keep it all here in Florida. I've strangely starting buying vinyl though don't own a tt. It's like a weird force has taken over. Four albums last week alone. Shostakovich Cello Concertos No. 1 & 2 (listening to cd wondering how it would sound on vinyl) Bill Evans Sunday at Village Vanguard Lee Morgan Lee-Way NIN Ghosts
April 10, 200818 yr I've been buying vinyl too. Iggy Pop - Raw Power (only way to get bowie's master, instead of the atrocity that iggy did when he remastered it), and some johnny cash 45s. I'll be sending them off to LFF for ripping soon.
April 10, 200818 yr I just got Feist - Let It Die on vinyl I had to wait for a decent price though... OOP records ftl
