My son has severe peanut allergies so we thought for his California Science Fair submission a research project addressing peanut residue and school cafeteria tables would be different, interesting and relevant. We are hoping his experience preparing for the science fair with a subject matter that strikes close to home may be that spark that ignites his interest in research or sciences. I never heard the Tri-vista 21 DAC before but I'm purchasing a friends Enlightened Audio Designs T-1000 transport and he really liked that DAC with it. I really liked that transport as well. I'll keep one of the DACs for sure and probably sell the other one. I sincerely wish you better luck with that transport then I had. I got mine for $350 shipped but the last few I've seen have been up near the $600 level. It comes highly recommended though, Pete Millett has the CD-1000. I can understand why he uses it as that thing is build like a tank, but the unit is so quiet when playing the CDs and putting the CD upside down is pretty cool to me. I met up with a couple today at the range because I asked a question on a forum about two different guns. As it turned out, the wife owned both guns, they live near me, and so I got to mess around with a whole new stash.
