  • Been after one of these for a while. Going in tomorrow to haggle. Wish me luck!

  • Prematurely touted a Lange once before but hope this one won't get away. Have been looking for a year or so, they are like hens' teeth.

  • Yeah, I also like that one a lot. Not quite up to your guys levels, but my wife got me this for Christmas...

Yeah, it's an ABC Suunto Core watch. I like it, only bad reports I've heard are with respect to the accuracy of the altimeter (don't care) and that it's not all that great on battery life. So I bought a dozen batteries on Ebay for $10.

Welcome back Dusty.

This may be my next watch. It's Swiss made, auto with ceramic case:

Looks great, but I am not sold on the ceramic cases, what if you drop it or smash it on a hard surface?

I ordered this German watch on Monday while the euro is weak compared to the dollar, but now the dollar seems to be going back were it was before. Can't wait to receive it!

(pic not mine, found it on google.)

Stowa is a nice watch. I'm told by the owner of the company that makes the ceramic watch that it would likely take a hard blow by a hammer to break the case. The bezel is the weakest part and is easily replaced. It will not scratch so under almost all circumstances it should hold up as good, if not better than a steel case.

Just wait, the dollar is due to weaken more so than it has this past weak.

They also have a even darker "shadow" model of the Ocean7 lm-4

just curious what happened in this thread... is it now a post pics of your watch thread? lol

cause the other post your watch threads havent had a response in over a year lol

Buying a Submariner off amazon.com, good or bad idea?

My local AD wouldn't discount much even though we've bought from him before.

Yup you're right, sold by Jomashop. Weariness meter rising

Yeah I saw that. It was mostly a concern if Rolex will honor a non-AD warranty. Not that I've ever heard of anything going wrong within the warranty period with Subs. I guess I'll look more into it, I'm a waffler anyway.

I'm selling my two Invictas and my one less black Nixon, if anyone's interested (which I doubt, so I'm not going to wait for an answer before I put them up on eBay, which will probably be this weekend). I just don't wear them any more, now that I got the Nixon all-black Private with which I'm very happy.

deepak,

I'd have a look around before buying something like that on Amazon. There's way too much shady in the watch business for me to buy something that like if there's even a hint at past bad performances. I've found pretty good advice here - Watchuseek Watch Forums - although I shop in a vastly different price category than you.

Have nothing to do so I guess I'll post a quick crappy pic of my Stowa Seatime:
