October 31, 200817 yr Author Stupid white letters wrecking the blackness. They're actually not that bright in real life.
October 31, 200817 yr Welcome back Dusty. This may be my next watch. It's Swiss made, auto with ceramic case:
October 31, 200817 yr Yeah, it's an ABC Suunto Core watch. I like it, only bad reports I've heard are with respect to the accuracy of the altimeter (don't care) and that it's not all that great on battery life. So I bought a dozen batteries on Ebay for $10.
October 31, 200817 yr Welcome back Dusty. This may be my next watch. It's Swiss made, auto with ceramic case: Looks great, but I am not sold on the ceramic cases, what if you drop it or smash it on a hard surface? I ordered this German watch on Monday while the euro is weak compared to the dollar, but now the dollar seems to be going back were it was before. Can't wait to receive it! (pic not mine, found it on google.)
October 31, 200817 yr Stowa is a nice watch. I'm told by the owner of the company that makes the ceramic watch that it would likely take a hard blow by a hammer to break the case. The bezel is the weakest part and is easily replaced. It will not scratch so under almost all circumstances it should hold up as good, if not better than a steel case.
December 30, 200817 yr just curious what happened in this thread... is it now a post pics of your watch thread? lol cause the other post your watch threads havent had a response in over a year lol
December 31, 200817 yr Author Sort of -- post pics of your watch, post pics of others' watches, discuss watches, etc.
January 6, 200917 yr Buying a Submariner off amazon.com, good or bad idea? My local AD wouldn't discount much even though we've bought from him before.
January 6, 200917 yr Author Amazon == good. But I guess it depends on the merchant -- a lot of those are filled by other than Amazon. I presume you mean Rolex...
January 6, 200917 yr Author Looks like they mostly do alright, but those two negative feedbacks look concerning: linky
January 6, 200917 yr Yeah I saw that. It was mostly a concern if Rolex will honor a non-AD warranty. Not that I've ever heard of anything going wrong within the warranty period with Subs. I guess I'll look more into it, I'm a waffler anyway.
January 14, 200917 yr Author I'm selling my two Invictas and my one less black Nixon, if anyone's interested (which I doubt, so I'm not going to wait for an answer before I put them up on eBay, which will probably be this weekend). I just don't wear them any more, now that I got the Nixon all-black Private with which I'm very happy.
January 14, 200917 yr deepak, I'd have a look around before buying something like that on Amazon. There's way too much shady in the watch business for me to buy something that like if there's even a hint at past bad performances. I've found pretty good advice here - Watchuseek Watch Forums - although I shop in a vastly different price category than you.

January 14, 200917 yr Have nothing to do so I guess I'll post a quick crappy pic of my Stowa Seatime: I think this one would be awesome for the summer, 1000m Prodiver:
