The only time I've seen anyone wear a real one was a picture of Steven Tyler wearing one.  There's a replica that made the rounds on a replica forum I used to participate on tho, people were hillarious in it.

  • Been after one of these for a while. Going in tomorrow to haggle. Wish me luck!

  • Prematurely touted a Lange once before but hope this one won't get away. Have been looking for a year or so, they are like hens' teeth.

  • Yeah, I also like that one a lot. Not quite up to your guys levels, but my wife got me this for Christmas...

Almost as hot as his daughter.

And now, for something completely different.  My 54th birthday present will arrive Monday, a day before I can peek at, touch, or lick it...

Why is the 12'o'clock marker flipping the bird?

Cool.

Nice Snoopy btw. I am sensing someone likes Omega a bit, that's what, about a dozen now?

14 Omegas counting the new one coming tomorrow, but not the two that I bought for my son for becoming an Eagle Scout or not dying before his 18th birthday by doing anything stupid.  Here is a partial list, but mostly complete except for no room to list all the sold watches - I have one more secret watch on backorder for a month that should ship this week.

Thanks!  One less watch today - I sold my Aqua Terra 2503.33 to a deserving buyer, after it came back from Omega for a movement service, and made money on the sale.  I had the Snoopy mostly paid for, and the sale went a long way to finishing it off.  Gave up one white dial watch for another.

Haven't bought a watch in years now. Which is odd considering I still religiously spend at least a half hour a day checking the grey dealers, forums and Chrono 24 to keep up with what's out there. Might just sell the lot to create some impetus and start from scratch again under the pretense of building a "rational collection."

Same here.  I just have nothing I am all that interested in purchasing.  I haven't even been into the safe in half a year and have been switching out the same two beater watches everyday.

I have an old Nautilus.  It is okay but I am not a huge fan of the looks and would not even think of paying that much for one.

So trading for the Lange doesn't count as "buying a watch?"

It was for my wife. So I guess I should have said I haven't bought myself a watch in years.

That might have changed today though. ;)

I was all set on buying the Seiko 55th Anniversary Spring Drive but then I learned that that it was no lume and my interest waned. We'll see if I can find something that interests me.

I sort of like the Tag tourbillon but I'm not sure I want to spend that much.

My next watch shipped today after being on a 6 week back order.   Then I have another watch that should ship on Friday, that I pre-ordered back in October last year.

So they don't count when I say I won't buy more for a little bit, since they were already on order :P

one of those the Nomos?

Yes, the NOMOS will ship by the end of the week, so I am told.  I sold the Aqua Terra (white dial blue hands) to make room for the next two watches, and you'll see why.

Jacob, can you provide a few more close up shots of the Everest strap for that Explorer?

INCOMING!

Next one is here tomorrow (NOMOS Ltd Ed).

And then my last watch purchase (of the 1st quarter) will be here on Tuesday...
