Wes is selling a demo Neko D-100 Mk II DAC on Audiogon for a nice price.

Bought! This is the last damn audio thing I'm buying for a very long time.

This is the final DAC, mark my words.

  • Turns out the damage was a bit more severe than a bad cable. They could still be repaired for less than the cost of a new pair, but not enough less that it seemed worth it. So new Etys are on the way.

  • That's because you're supposed to put them in your ears!

  • So the LCD3 Zebrawood showed back up tonight and I think I just bought a pair. Rob, you get the LCD5 and we'll compare and see if they're worth it, kay?

Great (and thanks for getting before I was too tempted)!

Another thanks! I'm local so it was extra tempting.

Jack, are you getting the same Dinny-DAC disease I have?   In any case, congrat, I have one of these too and it's a great unit, especially at that price.

Wait, don't you still need a cart?

Check out the analog thread, got an Ortofon 2M Black. Its great.

Anyone used Amazon's Trade-In program to send in your stuff for Amazon credit?

http://www.amazon.com/b/ref=ti_surl_tradein?ie=UTF8&node=2242532011

They seem to be offering a crazy amount for my old DSLR body, which is long-in-the-tooth for an upgrade.

The only small potential downside I can see is the fine print that states "a small number of the items in our catalog may display an inaccurate TIV", in which case they will contact you to determine how you wish to proceed (including an option to send the item back to you at no cost). And of course you get the trade-in in the form of an Amazon gift card.

Curious if anyone has any experience with this process & can speak to how legit it is.

What's your camera? I'm curious since I've yet to find anything camera related on Amazon trade-in program that I couldn't sell for significantly more on FM or even eBay.

After reading several reviews/forum threads, I'd avoid it like a plague, though.

Thanks. I've been wanting something better than my phone or my pocket Panny Lumix. This should fit the bill.

I was about to come in here and post the same email:

To make room for new models, we're closing out some of our Emotiva fan favorites. Act fast, because once they're gone, they're gone. E-Club members get an additional 10% off the closeout price.

XPA-1L was $699 now $499
XDA-2 was $399 now $219
Stealth 6 was $549 now $399
UPA-200 was $349 now $299
UPA-500 was $399 now $349
UPA-700 was $499 now $399

Closeout products ship free and come with a 30-day trail period.

Server appears down from here as well.  I guess (# of fans) >> (server load handling capability).

Would the Stealth work well as a computer speaker sitting on a desk? My old Klipsch 2.1 speakers are getting flaky on me and I'm wondering if they'd work well as a replacement.

TTYJ is selling the Meridian Explorer 50 for $149 using Explorer50 as the discount code.  It's for newsletter subscribers only, so you may have to be on their subscription list for the code to work.
