June 23, 200818 yr comment_133065 i'd get the Krell Evo 900s I guess I'm a Pass fan as well after owning one of their amps. But yeah any amp where you can go : how many watts is your amp : over a kilowatt : what : Report
June 23, 200818 yr comment_133068 well, the 900s are only 900, into 8 They're still probably amazingly good. only 900 into 8? give me a pair of these The problem would be finding one. Report

June 23, 200818 yr comment_133078 They're still probably amazingly good.Pfff. /me not a Krell fan. If you're talking greater than 3 digits of watts, I'd go Musical Fidelity kW. Or less -- I'm perfectly happy with my A308CR (250 -> 8, 450 -> 4). Report
June 23, 200818 yr comment_133096 only 900 into 8? give me a pair of these same output as a Pass x1000.5... Report
June 23, 200818 yr comment_133105 Hah! I get to hear that beasty before all of you fools! Maybe I should bring my k1000 with bare-ended equinox. Will it blow up my cans? Report
June 23, 200818 yr comment_133115 Will it blow up my cans? I'd turn the volume all the way down when hooking them up, and I wouldn't leave them hooked up for some passer by to destroy. Other than that you should be fine. I doubt you'll need much volume to drive them. Report

June 24, 200818 yr comment_133234 Mother of holy christbudda! Now I really can't wait for this weekend, if just to see this monolith in person, let alone listen to it! Report
June 24, 200818 yr comment_133449 i'm perfectly happy with 240 into 4 I'm happy with my 1300 into 4. But after hearing the new 600 evos, might have to cut back a few watts to 1200. Report
June 25, 200818 yr comment_133634 This is definitely on my list of builds. I need to brush up on my Solidworks so I can have a case fitting for such an amp. Hmmm monoblock or single chassis? Report

Hmmm monoblock or single chassis? β24 Monoblocks would be crazy overkill, so of coarse that's what you should build. Two of those bad boys would be incredible! Report
June 25, 200818 yr Author comment_133655 I think mono blocks would probably be the easier of the two build options. I know that I'd need the extra room for the inevitable layout f-up that could derail an entire single-chassis build. Report

I know that I'd need the extra room for the inevitable layout f-up that could derail an entire single-chassis build. I think mono blocks would be harder. Since you have 2 channels on a single board, so you'll either have to use L brackets on each end and align that to the heat sinks on each side, or some weird single heat sink design. My experience is mounting directly on the heat sink is much easier to do, and less error prone. Report
