Just JB my iPad using jailbreakme.com. Cydia's servers are bit busy for making purchases at the moment. I am going to get 3G Unrestricter. I'm waiting for a multitasking app, which is the main reason for the JB.

Is anyone still looking for camera connection kits? I assume everyone already has them but I am at the store for some MacBook Pro service and they have dozens here if someone needs some picked up.

On vaca in Maine with daughter's family. Three little girls - 8 and 5, and their 4 year old cousin. Made the mistake of showing them the iPad. Photos, videos, downloaded some kids apps - coloring, spelling, etc, etc. Now I can't get near the thing, and it is amazing how naturally they take to the ui. Fun to watch, but I miss my iPad - in the middle of a book. Told son in law he needs to get his butt to the Apple store in Portland and get one.

Gene, just had the same experience. I didn't see my ipad all weekend long.

I'm liking my pad more and more. Works really nicely as a drawing slate, is a great VNC station and now I have the camera kit, a nice music station and pic downloader. I popped my SD card in it earlier and it sucked all the pics down really quickly. I wish there was a way of using it as a proper external monitor though, that would be awesome for running real progs from the mini without digging out a monitor.

Thanks, Mike. That's a lot more compact that I was expecting.

It works well, minus the finger swipes. I need to get Snow Leopard so I can install the latest bootcamp and the patch which will allow the use of the finger swipes.

Once again, I found myself searching for information on a future ipad specific itunes Remote app. Unfortunately, I just found this so I am guessing it may be a while before we have one.
