Arrived yesterday and it really opens up every electrostatic headphone that I own. I was looking for an amp that can bring more bass out of my HE90 than HEV90 so I drained my pocket to bid on this and

  • I have been getting back at this..working up to a limited run of these as the STAX SR-X9000 and Audeze CRBN have made that need to happen. But the chassis is extraordinarily expensive and difficult to

  • Isn't everybody glad that I'm crazy enough to buy this stuff and have Kevin rip it apart?

Who is the shining beacon of fucktardery?

So, it turns out he's bought an HE-1.

Ahhh when it doubt throw a bunch of money at mediocrity and claim it is better.  Yup, the sound HF plan.

Yep, he bought a HE-1, and yet excessively quibbled about the cost of getting a Stax SR-009 and KG designed amp saying that you didn't need that level of performance at the price.

This draws the obvious conclusion that he gets his lesser level of performsnce at a far greater price..

The logic is truly revelational.........

Clearly there is not though marble in any KG amp. to justify the high prices. I think the bang for the buck lies unquestionably with the HE1

A good monument company would make a nice marble case for anybody for under a thousand bucks or two anyhow. You could even do most of the fine casework like mounts yourself with regular drill bits as it only has a hardness of 3'ish. That would sure make a pretty DIY T2 or similar.

Yeah no matter than the marble would be pretty shit for this use but lets loose all common sense and dew eet!!!!

Yes, he wasn't too consistent. But then again, his vids gather rather bad score, so yeah...

Perhaps, he's lost his marbles..............................

Can someone recomend me a good stand for the 007? ebay i.e.

I thought the set on ebay with the cables hand braided were bad. But this takes it to another level.5a57935149065_s-l1600(1).thumb.jpg.be021b46aedc92df098c8e55d4b2b75d.jpg

Along with muff'led sound.

C'mon Birgir.  Aren't those the perfect earphones for those cold Icelandic nights?

Might just be but why would you want to be outside?  Our houses are never cold...cheap hot water FTW!!  ;)

Just the thing for musical polar bears and penguins.

Here's another winner from the bay. Seller claims a friend braided it for him without re-terminating the cable.

Sure he did

I want what ever these people are taking...

that has to at least double the capacitance of the cable. probably more because the bias wire is no longer shielding the stator wires.

stupid fucks.

I can get behind fur earpads on electrostats, but only if they also remove the dust covers for maximum sound clarity.

Can I get those in Tiger print? The ones shown are not quite my jam.
