2 oz Wild Turkey Rye

1/2 oz Cynar

3/4 oz Cocchi Torino sweet vermouth

Fantastic drink. This one's for Steve (although I don't think he was much of a drinker).

I kinda thought the Cynar and Torino proportions needed to be swapped.

I could see that. I'll give it a try.

Swapped the proportions and it is definitely better, not as sweet.

4 hard cheeses.. - almonds (in olive oil and Herbs de Provence) - pepperoni chunks..

would have made bacon - but was being lazy..

Any other Nebbiolos you like? Ever had Pio Cesare? I love the stuff when I can find it.

Have not had that, but I have seen that label before. I have had one other Aug.... my sister brought it back from her trip there last year. I cannot remember the name off hand - but, very good.

I like the L’Uvaggio - need to decant it a bit longer - but I am thirsty... just the hint of it starting to opening up.

I will ask my sister about the other bottle next week when I visit her - I will bring her one of these bottles as well.

Some more Little Italy explorations

Kept both the Vermouth and Cynar at 1/2 oz and upped the rye to 2 1/2 oz.

I'm liking the Willet more and more. I think 108 is about perfect for a rye.

I do like those young high proof Willett's

It has a nice little bite to it. Good stuff.

Rittenhouse 25 Manhattans. The Rittenhouse is slowly dwindling, but damn is it good.
