skullguise Posted July 10 Report Posted July 10 Heather Nova - Breath and Air. Been a huge fan for years, she has an inner passion that I just love. Even though I don't think all her newer music is as strong as much of her earlier work, she still has that passion I love. I FINALLY got to see her live in a small setting, a semi-acoustic set with her brother (who goes by Misha); this was maybe 2-3 years ago, after having 2 different shows cancelled before that. A wonderful experience, got to chat a tiny bit after the show, she is very nice and gracious, really appreciates her fans. Example: 4 Quote

mikeymad Posted Monday at 06:26 PM Report Posted Monday at 06:26 PM Unusual Weather by Michael Manring (1985) https://album.link/kcfjzcvstwqth Example: It has been too long since I have listened to Michael's fretless bass. I have this on vinyl, but that is in storage, which is sad. But music is still good. 1 Quote

MexicanDragon Posted Tuesday at 05:10 AM Report Posted Tuesday at 05:10 AM LOVE this group, and they're finally back together after a decade and change break. They dropped a brilliant Tiny Desk Concert; I may need to watch it again. 3 Quote

Also, do you know about this? 7" 45 box set of Lord Willin'. Only 1000 copies made. I linked it to my buddy who turned me on to Clipse from like, day 1, and he wound up buying it, not realizing that I sent him the link I was going to buy it from. I got it elsewhere, but glad it wasn't as much as the ebay listing https://www.ebay.com/itm/276301100974?chn=ps&mkevt=1&mkcid=28&google_free_listing_action=view_item&gQT=1 Also, can you imagine dropping this 45 whenever you want? https://www.instagram.com/reel/DLhu9gosH0D/ Quote

Wowzers, so glad I finally got around to listening to (and watching a little) this VIRTUOSO! Thank you! Virtuosity without abandoning musicality, my beloved. I was in Guitar Center today (selling guitars, didn't buy anything), and I was severely tempted by a Fender Fullerton Jazzmaster Ukelele. Oh well, maybe I'll get an Enya Moon 5-string Taimane Signature Ukelele after I make big Epstein Didn't Kill Himself Files Do Exist Bucks. Quote

It's totally worth that, IMO. 1 Quote
