He made an off-color joke to the wrong crowd at the wrong time. Who among us hasn’t, right?  I would bet he feels bad but has nowhere to put those feelings. Shame is one of the real ugly, scary ones we would all rather hide. 
 

Obviously this isn’t your fault or your doing, but I feel like this is an opportunity to selflessly put a little compassion in the world.

As a follow up. We did have a great talk. He was completely unaware of how offensive I took it. He also quoted me back to me, when I told him that gay men love gay jokes more than anyone. After I explained my experience with that hellish disease he actually started tearing up and apologized profusely. He really had no idea. He even gave me a hug, which cemented that he didn't mean to offend me in any way. I'm too sensitive about that subject, I'm certain. But all is well.

A Memento Mori for Skye was going to cost $450, so I went to Michaels, got a DIY kit, and did that myself this morning.  It looks ghetto af, but it means everything to me.

Then I took her up to animal control and "relinquished" her body to be communally cremated.

Exactly right. My own little slice of heaven. It  has honestly been a really good post so far. 

Had a crazy commute to work this morning. I thought that I had been transported back to South Texas. Thunder, lightning and rain coming down at a volume the windshield wipers couldn't keep up with. 

Used Gemini to fix and update my Ubuntu server.  At one point, I had a great success, so I told it, "(party favour noise)", and it responded, "(confetti cannon fires)", LOL.

Got roped into seeing Kelly Clarkson at the rodeo with a bunch of friends.  The rodeo was great (and cheating on my diet was also) but I don’t understand why people love Kelly Clarkson.
