  3. What? Apple rug pulled a useful feature? Shocking.
  4. @EdipisReks1 - it will be curious to hear your thoughts on ink consumption and cost to print. Looks like ~$100 to replace all 8 cartridges which honestly is not horrible. 13" maximum dimension (in one direction) coupled with 39" length could be fun to tinker with.
  5. I set up my new Pixma PRO-200S today. It’s an absolute game changer for me.
  6. Something I just learned that others might already know: Apple removed the secure erase function from Disk Utility because users where "damaging their SSDs." Something, you know, a warning popup might have solved. Now one has to go through Terminal to accomplish the same thing. I mention this now because I'm finally decommissioning some external HDDs from the early 2010s.
  7. Think of it as a layer of glue, not as a solder dome like with through hole. And don't worry, electrons will flow!
  8. Made a control board for filament smps today. Some pictures from my kitchen. Idle voltage – no tube 2A3 300B and EML 20B-V4
  9. I watched a factory tour of some company that made DACs, maybe it was PS Audio, and they had a wall of shame by the repair bench that featured one that had been caked in a similar damping paint. Applying a sealant over a PCB that hasn't been cleaned is also a great way to make it much more likely that it will fail much sooner. Maybe this guy is a rogue employee from Acoustic Revive: Probably because of their glossy casework, seeing the inside of a Viva amplifier for the first time was the worst kind of surprising.

  12. Did someone say Fish & Chips? (Post sharing split) Which makes room for
  13. The groovy sounds of the sixties, With Revolver On a glorious day by the water.
  14. And no Ketchup dispenser / applicator? What are they thinking
  15. This morning before finishing up our bathroom remodel cabinetry project, I prepped and Al cooked breakfast on the flattop. Kind of a mimic of Waffle House's Smothered, covered, loaded hashbrowns. All the eds were used. Bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, smoked cheddar and scrambled eggs and bacon on the side. We made a ton, and I think that I hurt myself a little bit, as our project required me to move and conform in ways that I found difficult. Lot's of groaning and weezing involved. But we prevailed. The homeowners left fresh baked chocolate chip cookies, which I still can't quite consume, even though they look amazing.
  16. They selected "Well Done" - fuck that noise.
  17. Freakin' sweet work!
  18. Hardware finally arrived so we installed pulls and stops and we're done with this project.
  19. This seems very HC https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/147080381/agari-the-worlds-first-ai-powered-reverse-sear-cooker?ref=alokfx $1000 steak blast furnace... nice Perfect Ribeye in 23 Minutes - And if your guest wants to eat too, they can wait another 23 minutes.. If you have more than two people for supper, you can buy a convenient 4-pack of Asari's. They only require 4x the counter space. d-_-b
  20. Wait, has anyone watched The Hunting Wives? Suddenly it seems interesting.
  21. As a wise man once said: ”Qobuz was always the answer.”
  22. ^ Yes, far be it for Head-Case to ever veer off on a tangent. 😝
  23. Yeah, sorry, good point.
  24. From good ol' days:
  25. Not sure if this is the best place to continue this discussion....but I love love love this woman and her sarcasm. There's another clip I saw on FB where she goes on factually to show why he doesn't deserve it. But even this part is great.
