^^ I remember watching that last month, and I don't think I shared it. My main disappointment is that it cannot be restored. The footage does not seem to exist. So it just made me sad. I remember the last time I watched the movie, I didn't know these issues, but things just felt off. I didn't catch the continuity issues directly.

I haven’t really followed up on this for a while, but today I did a quick LTspice simulation of the 2A3 stage. With a constant plate current of about 23.8 mA, a 3100 Ω cathode resistor looks like a reasonable bias point (compared to 3300 Ω previously). The operating point itself is stable, and plate dissipation comes out to roughly 7.7 W, well below the 15 W maximum for a 2A3. The resulting plate-to-cathode voltage (Va-k) is around 329 V, which is clearly above the classic 2A3 datasheet limit of 300 V. Based on older/NOS 2A3 specs, this would be outside the safe operating range. Some modern production tubes (for example, the EH 2A3) are rated for a higher Va-k (up to ~360 V), so they may tolerate this operating point without issue. Just wanted to share the simulation results. Please share any 2A3 running data points in reality.

Cross-checked the layout of kgsshvcarbon6.1c3cs. Red marked the differences. Nothing wrong with the schematic. Just a couple of caps added to it. And the shrink version Circlotron(CRHV) board has been shipped out from the manufacturer. Will report the result later. kgsshvcarbon6.1c3cs.pdf

And after all that headed down to Burlingame to catch up with Joannes tall Australian nephew to hear all about his project work for Nvidia before catching the red eye back to New York. He very kindly gave us his'n'hers house warming gifts from Joannes sisters and himself. Also spotted in Burlingame

a professionally hand rolled for a charity event last year that my friend passed along to me... a good smoke even if it had a little uneven burn to begin with. and I found that having little sips of cheap sake goes really well with a smoke...

in contrast. Bad Brains by Bad Brains (1982) https://open.qobuz.com/album/cc8ibgp6uc1mc Example: ^^ ha - age restriction - not sure why it is just the nice tune "Pay to Cum"... Actually, more of a diverse album than I would have thought of when I just think of Bad Brains. With mellow and melody based tracks and of course reggae:

My favourite discovery of 2025 is Kardi, mostly because of this insanely under-rated powerhouse of a singer, Kim Yeji. I haven't heard them do songs like these two (I'll post the other one in another thread), before, respect.

What a split legacy! Loved the comic, hated his political views. Still....RIP.....
-
Dilbert was absolutely brilliant. RIP Scott Adams. Edit: Just read the link and found that Mr Adams was a Trump supporter. I guess he wasn't as brilliant as his comic strip.

^^ was this suppose to be in the Analysis thread?

‘Dilbert’ creator Scott Adams dies at 68. He, uh, made some comic strips in the 90s that resonated with office workers.
