  1. Past hour
  2. Finished Suddenly Amish last week... which lead to the reverse, a Breaking Amish marathon this weekend. And I assume Return to Amish is next. It being modern America, Jeremiah Raber, of the latter two shows, now has an album out. He may be King of the Resentful Adopted Into the Amish Bro Country singers.
  3. Today
  4. I really don't like active noise canceling myself, but Bose and Sony tend to get mentioned a lot re: noise canceling headphones...
  5. Mighty fine home for sheep guts.
  6. Some music nerd requested a box for his violin strings. So two wood nerds set out building such a thing. We had some figured Cherry and some Walnut, so... Now I just need that music nerd from Austin to look at his messages and give me an address to send this package to.
  7. Naan your business! 😝
  8. Not a person, but RIP Juno Download(!) The DJing world has been moving to a subscription model for a while now. djay Pro, one of the most popular DJing apps, is designed around the use of streaming services. From the comments section of a DJ I know:
  9. What do you think about these drivers? can they have good sound?)
  10. What's your naan recipe, Nate?
  11. Made chicken shawarma with naan tonight. The naan was one of my better batches.
  12. Foraged some wild asparagus from across the street
  13. Yesterday
  14. Did this. Because: as One / AI (with prompting, might say)
  15. My shelves are filling up with Gondwana and ACT vinyl, so while doing a bit of cleaning I rescued these little gems. Isao Suzuki I have the XRCD versions and although their price today is exorbitant, I must admit that they sound very, very good...
  16. I really liked this. I don't even know how to describe it -- it's like somewhere between the jazz of Mammal Hands and GoGo Penguin, and ... post-rock? IDK...
  17. Cara Dillon - After The Morning. A tender and beautiful voice, wonderful songs, several nice ballads with a touch of traditional Irish sound/instruments. Great for a mellow Sunday morning. Sample:
  18. Bunch of discounted Zeiss glass - https://www.amazon.com/stores/ZEISS/page/FE9712AB-21B2-4EAB-A6E1-DADF7BEED40F?lp_asin=B00WII52ZU&ref_=cm_sw_r_apin_ast_store_N60325Q0BS5SPKDEXZPW&store_ref=bl_ast_dp_brandlogo_sto
  19. Spider Noir (Amazon Prime) - enjoyed this alternate take on the Spiderman genre alot.
  20. As I remember it normal is what I did, i.e. same GND point for LV and HV.
  21. Hi, @MLA I'm planning to test this next month, and I have one more question: The low-voltage ±15V supply GND on the Carbon PCB is connected to the high-voltage GND. Does the ±15V supply also need to float somehow in this configuration, or should I simply connect the GRLV GND to the Carbon GND as normal? I'm trying to make sure I understand the grounding scheme correctly before I start wiring everything up.
  22. Not from Costco. https://www.dreo.com/products/513s-smart-ceiling-fan https://a.co/d/0dvZat5n (Any many more YT reviews, whose discount codes may or may not work). The Costco option started the ceiling fan journey having spotted various neighbors ceiling fans on our nightly walk around the complex. Luckily the ceiling junction box was fan rated, so no additional work there. Dreo ticked the Smart remote /App / "Hey Google" integration boxes. Available in 3, 4 and 5 bladed options at 44 and 52 inch diameters. Couldn't persuade Joanne of the necessity of RGB in the bedroom.
  23. The last 45 minutes of the 48 hour memorial is playing.
  24. Ouch.. -- from a published article (august 1981)
  25. I'm finally getting around to listening to Sonny Rollins. We've been at the lake house for a few weeks. Will listen to, Way Out West, when I get back to my vinyl rig. Till then, Qobuz will have to suffice.
  26. @Grahame was the acceptable replacement also from Costco? Brand and model name?
