On Friday I had the fun experience of the "traditional" approach to making a (replacement) dental crown (multiple impressions, making + fitting of temporary crown etc) . And this was just the first visit. I still have the second visit to look forward to for the removal of the temporary crown and the fitting of the permanent crown. On discussing this with our FD at work, she mentioned that her dentist had used a CNC milling machine to make a crown, and fitted in in the same visit. No temporary crown required. The Fires have entered Colorado Springs. The famous Flying W Ranch is on fire, and the neighborhood we lived in 20 years ago (Mountain Shadows) is on fire. We appreciate any prayers, best wishes or kind thoughts this way. Thousands of people are displaced right now on the west and northwest side of town, and may become homeless soon. This gets crazy discounted once a year and it's that time. If you want a wealth of fiction, music reviews, film commentary, cartoons, etc. here you go. Although the software isn't up to the content (though updates to it are better than some early reviews), 4,000 issues over 80 years for under $20 is incredible. So, I have tickets to see jazz legend and really old guy Charles Lloyd tomorrow night. He is playing with Jason Moran, Eric Harland and Reuben Rogers, a killer quartet. He is not and all-time favorite of mine, but he is great and, as mentioned, really old. I have seen several jazz greats shortly before their deaths and I try to see the old guys when they are around for this reason in addition to their music.
