  12. Interesting feature is there are parallel tracks recorded on M-50C and VM-1 microphone setups. Kinda cool.

  14. 14 miles on the calfee tonight. Route says only 400 ft of climbing, but most of it was in the last half mile (up the hill to my house). It's the first time I've ever done a ride that started and ended at my house. Minor fine tuning to be done to the bike. It doesn't like the big ring in the back, so I think the limit screw is slightly too far in. Seat needs to move a little back and up. But all in all pretty comfortable. Even spent part of the ride in the drops. Averaged 13.7 mph, with a peak of almost 33.

  15. And if you have LMS/slim/squeezeserver + iPeng you can can now control it with your Apple Watch http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?103778-Announce-Use-your-Squeezebox-on-Apple-Watch-with-iPeng-8-2 Or use it to send content to UPnP/DLNA devices/players http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?103728-Announce-UPnPBridge-integrate-UPnP-DLNA-players-with-LMS-(squeeze2upnp) Or just install multiple (software) servers, so you have multiple views onto the same data/content - and use whichever is best for your particular use case ... Ain't choice grand.

  16. there are 4 different designs now for the ksa5. the first power supply is the double zener thing. the second one is the alternate ksa5 power supply which is fully regulated. the third one is a shrunk version of the second one. the 4th one is the goldenreference board. the goldenreference is a different although similar design. about a factor of 100 less noise. my version of the Chinese thing has an extra current source in the front end, more current delivery due to darlington output, and way better and more accurate reference. and current sources that are very stable (none of that e series crap) to change for higher voltages, you change the lower feedback resistors and the power transformer. R7 and R10 http://gilmore.chem.northwestern.edu/goldenreference.pdf and I know the protection diodes are missing from the schematic. 2000 labels fixed in the zip file going to be way more stable than sigma22 and bunches less noise. its good for 500ma, maybe more. will have to test. so for dynahi, you need 2 otherwise you need one, and it works at any voltage 15,20,22,24,30 if you really want it to do 12v then you have to change the reference to 5v and technically you might want to adjust the zener D4,D6 to be roughly half of the desired output voltage. as shown its 20v for the ssdynalo i could do an off board version with flying output transistors, then on big heatsinks, as much power as the transformer can supply

  18. HS, I just bought a new pair of SR-007 MK2 from StaxUSA Memorial Sale to complement my SR-009. Using my Yggy>KGST I have swapped between the two. I prefer the SR-009 to the unmodified ST-007 MK2 most of the time. The SR-009 sounds much more present and open. The SR-007 more resonant but distant. That's about it for comparing in the week I have had both. Finally got my parts ordered from Mouser for a KGSSHV Carbon yesterday. I am anxious to hear how that will drive the Staxen.

  21. Went to my first Cars and Coffee in the area this morning. This is the lower end one while Saturday morning is the multi-million dollar car C&C in McLean. This might be the last of these though as the police showed up as so many hotrod douchebags were burning out when leaving the parking lot so the police said no more, after many years of this event occurring here. 22. Pitched 5 big tents (yesterday) for my daughter's girl scout campout, then struck them (today) and now airing them before packing them away. It was intense and my, not tentative, intent is to never again deal with tents to any extent.

  30. Holy crap, I remember him! Just last weekend we were looking up and re-living 'Land of the Lost' (different show, but same producers), because I wanted to prove to Anne that former Cavaliers basketball players Bill Lambier and John Lambert were in it. Turns out they were just sleestacks, not main characters, so it was easy to miss them.
