  1. Kinda went on a date tonight. I think? Have been chatting with someone for a bit, and she invited me out for drinks (before I could invite her out for drinks.) Aside: Whiskey Wednesdays = Chattanooga Whiskey + cola slushies for 5$, served strong in a mason jar, so either 12 or 16oz. A rather enjoyable night whose awkward moments were overshadowed by the rest. I wound up appreciating the taste in books (she brought up Ready Player One, and I wound up pre-ordering the author's upcoming next book "Something I forgot the name of because I was tipsy, but Audible says it is read by Wil Wheaton so it's totally going to be worth a credit,") and now have a few additions to the Audible library (I needed to burn some credits anyways.) Whatever it was, I had a great time, and went to a pretty cool bar I'd not been to before, but had been meaning to get out to. Whiskey cola slushies, skee ball, bowling, giant Jenga, pool, darts, corn hole out side, and a small Airstream which serves as the cigar cart. I've definitely found a new place to hang out. Now I realize it's 1am and I need to be up in a few hours for another long day of work. Good times. **BRENT**

  6. Great stuff! Is it too early in the relationship to ask if she makes biscuits? Glad you had a good time!

  9. My life has not stopped being a circus since the day they were born, Shelly. But they are all the best things about my life, so it's all worth it. My number one bucket list item is my wife and I taking all of them to Europe for a month over the summer when they are teenagers, rent a van (one of those "holy shit, that's a big family" ones), and go all over the place. Zermatt or bust!

  19. One of my lovely little children flushed a cup that got caught between the toilet base and floor drain... Had to pull the toilet, the awesome part was that the previous owners had cemented the toilet to the floor. So, in removing the toilet it removed part of the floor. I now have a new floor and working toilet

  21. That was an amazing two months of basketball, but boy am I ever emotionally drained. The Warriors have been my favorite team in any sport since the "We Believe" run my senior year of college. To see how far they've come from then has been special. They capped off a season for the ages the right way. On a whim, I attended the NBA draft out in Newark in 2012 the year we ended up drafting Harrison Barnes, Festus Ezeli and Draymond Green. We had no way of knowing at the time, but that day certainly has turned out to be one of the pivotal ones in the history of the franchise. All three players played (and played well) in a close-out game in the NBA finals. Draymond Green has turned out to be our second best player. Harrison Barnes went toe-to-toe with one of the dominant big men in the NBA in Zach Randolph and came out smelling like a rose. Unreal. This team has been especially fun to watch because of how selfless everyone is. The guys really have pulled for each other all year. Chemistry like this feels so rare in professional sports. I don't think I'll ever forget how happy all the guys were for Klay the night he got 37, or how honest Steph's MVP acceptance speech was. Seeing Andre take the MVP was an emotional moment. Curry probably played better, but I'm so happy Andre got the award. I can't even imagine what it must mean for him, a guy who has been such a grinder his entire career, to be recognized like this. Congrats to the Cavs. I think LeBron's redemption since "the decision" has now come full circle. He gave everything he had for the City he loves. I suspect there is a decent chance we meet again at the same time next year.

  22. Very interesting news! Back to the Grace arm on Pretentious Food's Rega 3, that looks like a G707, which was a low mass fixed headshell arm that Linn used to put on their LP12 turntables before they developed their own Ittok arm. It's a very good arm, I used one on a modified AR-XA turntable, then on a modern AR turntable which I eventually sold to my sister. As far as I know she still has it and it's still making music.
