I'd never heard of Sir Nicholas before reading this thread. But tonight I'll celebrate a great man, who, when faced with a tough situation, did what every human should do and so few seem to do. RIP Sir Nicholas!

Just booked a cabin on 70K 2016!

Here's a good "returning stuff to HD story. A carpenter I worked with was at the local flea market and a guy was selling boxes of marble tiles. Some homeowner project gone wrong so he was selling them for half price. Al (the carpenter) bought them all and put them in his pickup. He drove them to the nearest HD and returned them for a full refund. No receipt, no HD sticker, just the bar code on the box.

Hey Haj, did you try to return the screen? I'm surprised at what Home Depot will take back. If you have the receipt, it's certainly worth a shot.

I looked at that one last night, Todd. Great minds... And ironically enough, the eventual plan is to have a vinyl rig in the office.

Did I hear this? I think I did. It sounded really fucking nice with HD800's.... insanely neutral with a near-perfect midrange and absurd detail.

At a bare minimum I'd have to get a dedicated permit for something like an iPad, not to mention a Laptop or PC looking thingy. Hence me wanting to have it look as much like a CD player or home stereo component as possible.

The 80s were a decade of musical growing up for me. We don't sound as retro and 70s as before, we moved forward, we sort of demolished the previous foundations and build new ones. Despite the huge dose of melancholy and nostalgia, there is a new space, the songs are arranged with more flow and at the same time they have never been so concise and to the point before. The lyrics on "Love, Fear and the Time Machine" talk about a transformation. About making an important, perhaps life changing, decision everyone has to make at some point in their lives. What happens to us when we have to make it? On the one hand we're excited by the change, we feel free, liberated, and on the other we fear the unknown, we are afraid of what might happen to us. We go back in time and we go forward in time in our heads. And all that happens when we have to decide something important. The first of the songs on the album is called 'Lost', the last one, 'Found'. If we sometimes get lost in life, it is to go through something and be found again on the other side, to be reborn as someone better and more valuable. I would like this album to be one of those that one day simply becomes your best friend.” Just get in my ears already!

Bauhaus - In the Flat Field (An all time favourite off mine, hadn’t listened to it for around 25 years)

It's not really a laptop though.....it's a micro-size desktop that easily fits in my shelf. My situation is such that - with the KVM - it's easy to control and work.

The Explorer II is redundant, but nice collection.
