This morning we had the septic tank pumped out for the first time in at least seven years. Gave away a load of books that belonged to my in laws, but kept plenty of others. Then I made some red raspberry freezer jam using fruit grown within a mile from here.15 points

My issue turned out to be not that major and was cleared up for $200 which in the scale of electricians is nothing. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk9 points

Avid Volvere (black) with Airtight PC-1 Supreme and Avid Sequel SP (silver) with Airtight PC-1 Supreme and back-up Benz LPS. SME V arm and Kubala-Sosna Emotion phono cable on both tables. Going to unload the Sequel SP and move to a better table for stereo and then use the Volvere for mono listening.7 points

The other Chattahoochee bike is in the house. Just building it out I can really see zero difference in build quality, welds, etc. between the Lynskey and cheaper Litespeed. Maybe it will be noticeable in the ride? They use the same shitty stickers, Litespeed comes with better shitty wheels and tires, Lynskey comes with more Lynskey branded parts that I assume someone else makes for them. Both come with average to below average cockpit, though the Lynskey does not have the MTB seatpost. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

Sorry Sam, I haven't been on the forums much the last few days. My default suggestion is always Jomashop, if you don't mind going grey market. There aren't many downsides going grey market, but there is always the potential for irritation with warranty. Basically the grey markets buy product from authorized dealers for slightly over wholesale, and then split the difference. Joma, like all of the good grey markets, warranties the watches themselves. I have no relationship with Jomashop other than good experiences as a customer, including warranty repairs. If you don't like the grey market idea, shoot me a PM with some specific watches you are looking at, and i'll see what I can find for you.1 point

My bad. Yes they do. For the current source LEDs pick a forward voltage and matching resistor to get close to 4ma and you can use the vishay tnpw like from earlier builds or I used yageos. Also the decoupling caps on the opamps are 06031 point

Why does this remind me of the Engineer 's bike joke? Two engineering students, Bob and Ed, are riding their bikes. Bob says to Ed, "That's a nice bike; is it new?" Ed replies, "Well, that's an interesting story. I was walking on campus the other day, and a beautiful woman rides up to me, gets off her bike and puts it on down, takes off all of her clothes and throws them down, and says 'Take what you want.'" Bob says to Ed, "Good choice; the clothes wouldn't have fit you anyway."1 point

Finished up the separate "Universal" PS that will be used to power my GG. Maybe try it with a Carbon later. Measurements: GRHV+: 404.5VDC GRHV-: -406.4VDC GRLV+: 15.01VDC GRLV-: -15.00VDC Pro Bias: settles at 580VDC Casework by Head-Case member joehpj Awaiting select parts on a slow boat from China to finish up the GG.1 point

Very slowly coming along... just noting the size difference. What is everyone using for the right angle headers? I bought some 4 pin headers for the main 4 pins but ground pin is off to the side, maybe just airwire that one? Also are you socketing the headers or directly soldering? If socketing what are you using?1 point

Hard to choose between my speakers or the amp, but I remain pretty confident 2.5 years later that the M22 is the best piece of gear I've ever owned.1 point

I call it Three Rib-Eye Pie. In truth, I just seasoned them this way and then grilled them. I was hungry and had people waiting so I didn't take after pics. Tasty, though.1 point

Cool, looking forward to the full schematic. PS looks like 78/79 front end regulation (the two heatsinks) and for the extra slot, but R-C high voltage?1 point

You are wellcome Yes, I use an Arduino. A friend had an idea and he designed the software and all adaptation work. Arduino is controlling soft-start, times, temperatures ... on my Carbon, Arduino controls the input selector too. If I have a problem with temps for example, Arduino cuts HV trafo current.1 point

Thanks!! Yes, big knob is volumen control and small is a input selector. All my Stax outlet are made with acrylic transparent material so I can use a led inside. With my universal PSU.1 point

Just basic JJ El34's. From what I understand, different tubes should have limited sonic inpact in this curcuit, but I got the GB BH boards for a later build and there I think changes may be more audible. Apart from looking for exotic, I also intend to try the JJ EL-34L which the guitar crowd claims had more bottom end than the regular JJ EL-34. Fun times ahead1 point
