Buddy wanted to listen to some vinyl, so I figured out a way to get the rig set up in a semi reasonable manner. Still need to mess with grounding the table and finish casing the pre, but its quiet and sounding good so eh.

Stripped the huge LS decals, cleaned and re-finished the frame, and it got new ones, a new head badge, new cassette and chain. Since I stripped down the bottle cages to refinish the frame, changing pedals, I decided to go weight weeny and put it on the scale. The wheels are actually not particularly light. Because of the ads in other forums I visit, I actually switched to TapatalkPro. I think it was $4. No ads, and of course it is faster. To certain extend it is ransomware, and I am sure, at some point they will find a way to get $ out again....but for now, I can live with that.

(And I only recently found out there were two on résumé, I usually only put the one at the end. I wonder how many offers I lost because of that.) Makes it really tough to be a fan of Hélène Grimaud.

Yes new update and yes Tapatalk is becoming super spammy, I can pay them to get rid of those ads but may just remove support for it. Not really worth it anymore with the mobile theme(s) being decent enough. Also switched to a new dark theme option called 'Deflection' it's a little cleaner looking I think.

output buffer may be a diamond follower, hard to tell. rest of it after the dac certainly looks like stacked current mirrors. certainly a complicated design similar to what you see inside integrated circuits. obviously assembled with high resolution pick and place machines. much better built than a lot of stuff I have been seeing these days. Now a year or 2 to make the software perfect and the thing will be gold. no sanded off parts either like the denafrips, so they are proud of their work. Only one board error with that hand soldered diode. nice stuff and an indication of whats coming.

I went to go "ride street" with a buddy yesterday. By "ride street" I mean I was going to go watch him jump stuff and ride around the city. I got about 2/10ths of a mile before this. I thought it was just a scratch, but a day later I realize it probably wasn't wise to go ride another 8-10 miles or so around town. But, installed the new carbon bar. Old Woodman 630mm New Pro Tharsis 720mm and Pro Tharsis 80mm stem No video of me crashing, but I did get video of me doing something I could have crashed badly on. Sadly I made it. I've been struggling with digestive issues on and off for the past two weeks, so I've been eating nothing but comfortable food. (Not to be confused with comfort food, which mine tends to be spicy or greasy or have cheese and whatnot.) About the only thing that I've found so far that falls into both groups is chicken. I love chicken. Still haven't figured out everything that's making me uncomfortable.
