  2. Damn. I'm getting old. Decided today to reclaim the neglected flower bed in the back. Started at 10:00 am and finally finished at 9:30 pm. Younger me would be tired. I'm sore. Oh well. Glad I installed the metal edging a week ago. Had to remove the weeds.. Transplanted the one existing plant, a lily. Leveled the bed. Planted 13 perennials. Releveled the bed. Added Preen. Miulched. Watered. Will give any surviving flowers Miracle Grow in a couple of weeks. Freely admit I don't know what I'm doing. My expartner was supposed to help with all this since she planned. it. Apparently friendshi8p doesn't participate in completing joint projects. I have mulched so know what to do there. Have never planted flowers before. By the fourth one got the technique down to a relatively quick process. I have had the flowers for a few weeks. Hope they survive. Cheers.

  7. It feels like everything related to lawn or garden has a way of seeming like such a simple, minor task, and then taking a literal eternity to actually get anything accomplished. Related I recently got a new wood chipper that's been very instrumental in reclaiming some overgrown parts of the yard.

  9. Clears arrived today. Now, for someone who hasn't listened to anything better than the HD650 and SR-Lambda for almost 10 years, let me just say.....Jesus fuck these things are good. And this is just from my phone! I've only got my Crack at home which is a terrible match, can't wait to get these to work to pop them on a proper/suitable amp. But for now, I can hear visceral and crisp bass that extends down seemingly for ever, incredible detail in just about every part of the frequency response, and it's all so alive in a way that the HD650 just can't match. The overall tone is spot on to my tastes. I can completely understand where they will come across as 'too much', where there might be sheen, and I completely agree with @gepardcv that the headband comfort could use some work. All things considered, color me very impressed. I've definitely missed a lot in my time away.

  10. I'm surprised we don't have this in the first TV subforum page. I finished yesterday the first and only season (so far) of "Mare of Easttown" on HBO. I really liked it, very well acted, Kate Winslet did a fantastic job.

  11. Delicious leftover bulgogi don from yesterday's dinner at Sushi Jin with some friends IRL. It was just an insane amount of food. I had 1/3 yesterday (with pictured miso soup, and some not-pictured sushi) and the rest today, and overate both times, so it was at least 4 meals. Example:

  13. Drove around and explored some of the area around our place in Maine. Couple farmer's markets, antique places, and more. This lovely piece wasn't even in a flea market, but a regular store (a chain called Reny's). I cannot fathom why someone would want one of these EDIT: I call it Cowpigen (a la Turducken)

I have a theory that my ingestion of biscuits might be able to counteract the disastrous effects of Brent's consumption of biscuits. Kind of a good witch vs. bad witch kind of thing. Please post your positive and negative encounters today, so that we may evaluate my theory.

  30. The new shop is mostly wired and the big tools all have dedicated 240V circuits. I cleaned up and tried moving some things around to see how the space will work. It feels spacious compared to where we have been working in a chopped up basement space. This is approximately where the table saw, bandsaw and jointer/planer will reside, although the bandsaw will come away from the wall and may change orientation when in use. The blades for the Hammer bandsaw are still being made so it is going to sit in a corner for now, and the garbage rugs used by the tenant for years are now in place for some comfort and grease spot coverage. It's taking a while to get set up but I'm trying to be patient and get things done right. I'm going to enjoy working in this space and it will be much easier when Milo and Otis are in the shop together.

  31. No time to finish the armboard, because it was the time for truth! Will it fit and can I get the arm aligned. Well I think so! The SME setup process is pretty complicated - lots of tiny judgments and adjustments needed but the engineering behind the arm is just wonderful! I am almost at the top of the height adjustment - so probably needed a little more height on the board. I would say it has about 1/8” left of adjustment room - I guess useful for those future 300g releases?

  32. You might start a line of headphone hangers on such design: things like "to Dr Molinaro who gave my wife those wonderful appendages" and things like that. There's some business there if someone doesn't sue you for using wood Very nice holder, Naaman.

  38. Aw, man, the pics got deleted. Anyway, morbid warning: this is a story about a death, and it's very sad. If I seem intolerant to bullying, it's not because I feel bullied, but it's because I think we should practice not bullying, so that we can be legitimately and righteously indignant to the real bullies. This is bullying to the extreme. Fuck Kiwifarms.
