  1. Second day of packing our U-pack-it truck. They dropped it off yesterday at about 2:00 pm EDT and as of 5:00 pm EDT today we have approximately 75% of the house packed up and 99% of the heavy, bulky shit. Now sitting down for an adult beverage.

  5. Update: Audeze swapped out my CRBN for a new unit. New unit still does produce loud sticking/farting noise when pressed hard but is significantly less sensitive when on head.

  6. I’ve never been able to shake the habit of subvocalization so I’ve been stuck with the same narrator for every book I’ve read. 🙃

  16. not a good day - RIP to my father-in-law's best friend, Bill. Passed away at 71 shortly upon diagnosis of Stage 4 anaplastic thyroid carcinoma. pretty much a month from first symptoms to hospice. amazing sense of humor, almost as good as my FIL's. was easy to see why they got along so well. and a second RIP to Louie Simmons of Westside Barbell. legendary powerlifter, probably the most well known coach of his generation. massive ego and hated many opposing opinions yet had some of the most generous and kind support you could give to thousands of people over 40+ years. https://barbend.com/powerlifter-louie-simmons-obituary/

  17. Oh boy 45 minutes on old with Sweetwater. Their hold music BLARINGLY, DEAFENINGLY LOUD. Also terribad and interrutped by unnaturally perky sounding people telling me shit IDGAF about in any lifetime. Finally got a tech, which lead to another 45 minutes of back and forth, installing a creepy-ass TeamViewer app, much fuckery with Traktor, system configs etc ...all of which lead to confirmation that yes, Julia, channels 1 & 2 on the MOTU are in fact dead. New unit being shipped for Friday. I hafta get the old one in the mail within <mumble> days. Probably no show this Friday, either.
