Full blown arraignments of tunes with orchestra in mind, not a gimmick (I am looking at you metallica). It is recorded well, not perfect, but the rest makes up for it in spades with performance and scale. I first saw this performance on HBO or something like that at the time, and was blown away by it and ordered up the album soon afterwards (thank you Columbia House Music Club). I still have it but it has been packed away for so long, so I was very happy to have a good version on Tidal to bring it all back to me (and be portable). I think I am on my third listen in a few days, I will not let it stray that far away again.

The post storm continues… Usually go with a different cut, but got a New York Strip at Campfire in Arcata and it was so on the money. Mel went with halibut and Esmé chicken. Finished with a ridiculous s'mores chocolate cheesecake.

My only remaining sibling, my oldest Brother Rob, is now retired and spending the summers back in Alaska. Kenai, to be specific. That means that I now have a smoked salmon source once again. So, a Barton's Bagel from San Anselmo, cream cheese and the aforementioned smoked salmon.

Been working on this for a looong time. CFA3 from scratch mixed smd/thru-hole design. Currently assembled with NOS Toshiba 2SC3381/2SA1349 inputs, NOS MPSW TO-92L thru-hole transistors and bcxxx for the smd. Power consumption 75W no fan. Linear PSU with 20,000uf/63V filter capacitance — custom golden reference regulators. Final dimensions are 12x9x4.5” / 22lb+ the motorized 48 step attenuator w/ remote and display was a last minute addition. definitely interested in finding out the feedback for that, but would want it built backwards for a final design, I think.

They look delicious but for a former hotshot lawyer, it’s time for an Ooni. Even this soon to be hopefully retired…shhhh…small town lawyer, an Ooni is a necessity.
