  1. The counter got installed right before I left town! I had a few imperfections here and there that I know because I obsessed about sanding them down and trying again but I ended up leaving well enough alone. I will go back and fix the faucet handles… heh /lazy
  2. Working on getting M3 back up and running. Battery was dead. Gone are the days of 48/60/72/84 month warranties and in are 3-year-on-the-high-end warranties. Well, pull my 275$ AGM battery and check for a build date. 5/21. #WINNING Took it in to get tested/charged/possibly warrantied. As long as I didn't buy it on 5/30 or 5/31, I'd get coverage. I've abstained from biscuits for a bit, and my warranty runs out on 6/14/24. It was discharged so much it took 15+ minutes for the machine to even tell us how long a charge would take. Instead, it came back as dead. Got the call; I pick up a brand new 275$ AGM battery tomorrow.
  3. It’s pretty noticeable because the second violins don’t play in a way that projects sound into the hall. Go listen to your favorite stereo mix and it will be immediately noticeable as the cellos won’t be in the hard right channel. It creates more “space” for sure in some of the more complex string passages. its pretty traditional for Mahler. I agree. That’s why we just have to end the violence once and for all.
  4. Also, I realize that this isn't the best place to seek out customers, but I just want to state that I am open to building stands, faceplate, amp cases, gear racks, what have you. I'm hoping to retire from the heavy lifting of construction work, but still want to keep busy building things I love. Also open to small furniture pieces, cutting boards & the usual wood crafts.
  5. Been sick for the last week with a cold. Feeling better and treating myself to In-N-Out.
  6. Ha - I do follow BlackTail and Foureyes for big wood entertainment, but I am open to others. Most of my recommendations look like this for some reason.
  7. I hear The Donald is looking for work and he has tiny hands.
  8. Here are finished pics of my most recent project. And my first headphone stand/rack in well over a decade. Burled Walnut and Tiger Maple
  9. I know I'm late, but I agree with the final cake. HAPPY 'BEWT-
  10. Finally finished some sheet rock patches at Al's house in the city. Had to remove some drywall sections to get at a broken cast iron drain, maybe over a year ago now? They're not absolutely perfect, but pretty good. Maki helped keep the dust down by keeping the garage floor wet. 😳
  11. RIP Big Red. You were a weird dude, that is for sure. Pretty good ball player before his injury too.
  12. On a lighter note- on vacation in Naples Florida This week!
