Well said. The option I like is to have a fairly neutral amp (β22) and source, and then if I want a euphonic flavor now and then, that can be accomplished with a euphonic headphone. The modded Orthodynamics fit the bill there for me, and there are times when I do like that flavor. Though I've yet to hear the combination, I assume that the β22/K1000 combo will be quite neutral for most of my listening tastes.

And it sounds like she has two very good parents. That will definitely help her through this rough time. Soon when she's healthy and happy and moving forward in life, all that will be left from this time is the memory and knowledge that she has a great family that saw her through the hard times. She'll be in my thoughts, and I hope things get easier soon for you and your family Mike!
