Amen!

I'm caught up now through episode 6 which aired last night and covered the Tet Offensive and the first half of 1968. Boy, it took a few episodes but the series has really grabbed me. I went to bed last night feeling ashamed to be an American. 1968 really was a terrible year. The futility and waste of everything that had happened up to that point coupled with the realization that the war still has another FIVE YEARS left to run is pretty crushing. I feel terrible for the suffering of the people of South Vietnam.

Those are outstanding seats, 3rd row off the court I believe.

This just about puts the nail in the coffin of MQA as something worth paying attention to far as I am concerned. http://archimago.blogspot.com/2017/09/mqa-core-vs-hi-res-blind-test-part-ii.html

^ it was really nice to see HDS in the new season of Twin Peaks as well. Sadly so many of the older actors/actressess that were in that season have since passed. HDS Catherine Coulson - The Log Lady Miguel Ferrer RIP to all of them.

Honestly I could probably just listen to "Althea" all day on repeat and be perfectly happy.

Project Cars 2 is live and a new season of HC race nights starts anew. Any/everyone is welcome to join!

Happy birthday, Andrew! Celebrating at French Laundry?

Agreed, very close but also had GGG ahead. Should be a fun rematch.

DRAW!?!?

What did you think? I gave it a try, but like most of the newer Foo albums it wasn't for me. There is a strong possibly that I have shitty tastes, but the ears want what they want.

Isn’t Apple sourcing the screens for the X from LG? If so, the purchase of an X would by definition grant access to the HC LG OLED club.

Ken Burns' 10-part, 18-hour The Vietnam War begins to air this Sunday, so don't forget to set your DVRs! http://www.pbs.org/kenburns/the-vietnam-war/home/ The early buzz is that it is outstanding. I'm more excited for it than I have been for anything on television this year. Soundtrack by Reznor and Atticus Ross should be interesting as well. - The New Yorker did a nice profile on Ken Burns ahead of the series premier that is also worth reading. https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2017/09/04/ken-burns-american-canon

Happy birthday, JWM!

^ This! I am also a big fan.

So can Colin!

Gave a big speech at the rehearsal dinner for my sister's wedding last night. Boy, I have nothing but respect for you guys who have to get up in front of crowds all the time and speak. It is hard! Everyone said it went great, and I got a bunch of laughs, but despite all that it is hard not to feel like I could have done a better job. Maybe I'm just being to hard on myself. In any case, glad to have it behind me! Wedding tonight should be a blast.

"New" Neil Young? Sure, why not.

Oh noes! ?

If you haven't read it yet, and are in to philosophy, Ozgur, I HIGHLY recommend Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance when you are ready to read something fictional. As a fellow philosophy fan, It is one of the handful of books I can honestly say changed my life. It is also a good one to read if you are ever feeling depressed.

^ Busy working on your Ph.D in philosophy?

I had never heard it before. So good.

^ They have been available new at or below that price since launch if one were to do a little bargaining. Maybe they've just run out of customers to buy at the 4k price point?
