well, vinyl release isn't cheap so I suppose I'll go for one of the little silver discs. In fact, I might get the entire Bernstein / Concertgebouw / Mahler collection, despite it being "DG Digital"

nice. I'm doing some tests now with soft recovery diodes. I've found that with soft recovery, a C doesn't really do anything. Perhaps try 100 ohm with say 100nF in series across each diode (so, RC across each).. I've even been playing with a (RC || R) arrangement as well, and even adding a RC across the secondary in addition.

is it just a problem with this particular species, or would the same results apply to any type of wood?

Is 1/4W okay for the new 10K resistors between the REF102 and OP27? Seems so. I'm thinking about just using a SMD resistor here, as it would be rather easy to fix this way. Adding that cap, is another story...- Ye Macce Threade

True. The O2 is so much older and all possible amps for it are completely exhausted at this point. Who knows what new and innovated analog design might come along next for the LCD-2, we need more people on this intractable problem! - The ultimate DIY? A Stax SRM-T2!
