Yeah, I probably should qualify my statement -- when Juan let me hear his on his system, they did sound pretty damn good. I could definitely hear their strengths, but when I want pinpoint separation (?terminology), I have my HP-2's (although the Qualias would be more comfortable), and then I still have teh rawk.

No. Have you never heard it? Try to find a way at least to hear it first. It's good, and depending on your priorities, perhaps better, but also perhaps not. I know I, for one, prefer the PS-1. I never "got" the Qualia.

Stan and LeeAnne -- just ran into them at Sugarloaf Crafts fair -- I had no idea who I was running into when I ran into them in front of a vendor's tent, but the woman of the pair happened to spot my Happy The Man t-shirt, and said, "Look, he's wearing your shirt", and I was like "whu?", and she was like, "This is Stan Whitaker". I nearly tripped over myself, I did trip over my tongue. Stan is probably in my top 10 favorite guitarists ever. He's amazing. Anyway, they devoted their entire 55 minute set to me. She's got a great voice, and he's just amazing, even if he's "just" playing an acoustic. They're doing mostly covers now, but are going to start introducing some original material, and he's still got Oblivion Sun. I'm so glad I was wearing the shirt, because if I hadn't been, I'd have been cold...erm...I mean, I would never have known into whom I had just run. I mean, look at the above picture, they look completely unimposing.

I believe the only episode that's widescreen is, "Once More, With Feeling" -- Joss Whedon even mentions in the commentary that he always "made the show for television" (I think it was the commentary for "Once More, With Feeling"), so I don't think any of the episodes are widescreen. Anyone more familiar with the show, please feel free to confirm or deny. So yes, the first 39 disks are exactly the same as the individual boxsets -- I think they even have the one or two authoring glitches -- but they throw in one extra one. (All it has is a round table discussion, and some shit like that -- you're not missing anything, especially if you haven't watched the commentaries yet.)
