- And now what did you do TODAY?
I got treated to dinner and a movie by a certain lady friend. Really depressing movie, but a very lovely evening. Admittedly, she's married, so it's not like it's a date or anything. I'm just going to have one drink, say I had a lovely time, and go home.- The Schiit Audio Version Of A Leather Company

Jeffy seems pretty happy with his. And I don't think you should discount current owners -- cables still break, drivers still break, they still need service, so that question goes to current owners, too.- Sennheiser HD 800 Redux
I posit that the couch is demodulating the FM and then remodulating it into AM and then retransmitting...who am I kidding, I got nothing. WTF? How many gypsies did you piss off?- Custom IEMs
I stand corrected. I think I was remembering the price of JH16 + JH3A, but with the current "freqphase" iteration, the JH3A is no longer necessary (by all accounts).- Custom IEMs
I think only one of JH13's and JH16's are under US$1.5K.- Happy Belated Archosman!
Happy belated! (party favour noise)- Offbeat Question of the Day
They probably didn't have any complete bikes, bunch of half-finished ones.- Sound Proofing
It's actually with regard to violin practice, so headphones won't do a lot of good.- Parasound DAC-2000
I think you meant, "Dat DAC stack", Justin.- And now what did you do TODAY?
Spent most of the afternoon with my two sisters. Yay for reunions of a post nuclear family (I felt like coining that term, and it is appropriate -- we used to be a nuclear family, and now we are within the same metropolitan area).- The Headcase Stax thread
That goes without saying.- Do driver tubes need to be matched?
Most tube stores charge extra for matching tubes, so no, there is no obligation to match the "throwin"/"freebie" tubes. If they want matched tubes that you don't have, just send them here.- The Knuckledragger 3rd Memorial Slow Forum Post
"Do not wear around dogs" Also, why is latex listed twice? Is it that good of a selling point? "Oh, and...latex." (wiggles eyebrows, nods suggestively)- Happy Birthday Ian
Happy Birthday! (party favour noise)- The "I'm Hungover Thread"
Sorry to hear about that, man. Way too fucking many people dying lately.- The Knuckledragger 3rd Memorial Slow Forum Post
I don't know who she is. "ginger in your ass" Also, baguette == baby. More here.- Post what you're watching
Were you inebriated?- What are you listening to Part the Third
Fink, Perfect Darkness -- really cool Hit & Miss find (har har) -- sparse, dark, organic, like Cowboy Junkies Trinity Sessions with more electricity (and less binaural) and a male vocalist There's going to be a lot of these, I liked what I heard of Gram Rabbit, and fully intend to revisit PJ Harvey and listen to the unofficial "H&M soundtrack" playlist. Still need to know what was playing when she was dancing around her city loft with a concussion in episode 6 (~10:10 if anyone wants to go take a listen).- Kitty Talk

Finished Hit & Miss (finally). I liked it, but of course the wrap-up left me wanting. Also, really want to know what that song is at 10:10 of the last episode. It's got a rockin' grooviness that I usually don't hear together. The soundtrack is nicely all over the place, from Slipknot to Joy Division to Morrisey/Smiths with lots of very organic and old school stuff like Patsy Cline, Son of Dave with Martina Topley Bird, PJ Harvey, Fink, Gram Rabbit ("Dirty Horse" is the unofficial theme, I think) and Micah P. Hinson. Lots of morose-ness, medigs.- Post what you're watching
