  1. I need to get that SACD -- it's kind of hard to play vinyl with computer.
  2. Testing surround channels: "om nom nom nom nom..." "om nom nom nom nom..." "om nom nom nom nom..." "om nom nom nom nom..." "om nom nom nom nom..."
  3. Happy for you Steve. I hope things turn out well for him Mike. Me: sold the Lancer. Sent from mah phone-blet via Tapatalk
  4. _______________v-- 2. "I'm not. You can call me, 'Matt'." 1. "Hey, we're all buffed." I never got the purple one. Also, they moved the server out of the office, and me back into the office. Also, I leave when they turn the A/C off. I do some work from home in the evenings. I did end up getting the Equators, but they are only mildly portable. Good for gigs and weekend warrior type situations, but I wouldn't want to have to lug them back and forth every day. They do, however, sound really good for $300 powered monitors. They actually do sound twice as good as the half-as-expensive Fostex pm0.4n's. Albeit, less blurple. And the Quads definitely sound more refined, although not twice as refined. So it seems that (at least, for me), somewhere between $300 and the Quads are the sweet spot. I'll stick with headphones at work for now. Equators are for music-making; Fostexes are for background listening; Quads are for movie-watching and listening to SACD's in the bedroom.
  5. Anyone have any opinion on MaximalPower (see Purk's ^ post) vs. HiTech (600mAh)? Should I just stick with the one that 25 Amazon customers rated at 4.6 and is cheaper? Or should I go for that additional 50mAh, and the less non-black? Purk, how is yours standing up? The best performance is always with the first charge, in my experience.
  6. Happy birthday! (party favor noise) Sent from mah phone-blet via Tapatalk

  8. Happy Birthday, Justin! (party favour noise)
  9. I can't read Delaware, does that say Dogfish Head, or Dupont? Wow, that really doesn't translate well. Хороший день, чтобы умереть == "Good day, in order to die" line below == apple from the apple tree (okay, that was good) Крепкий орешек == toughie -- no, I'm not saying it's tough to translate, I'm saying it translates as "toughie", or "tough nut to crack" or, literally, "tight nutlet".
  10. Karen Souza & Stella Starlight Trio -- bunch of different jazz lounge covers, some of these translate really well ("Creep", "Strawberry Fields Forever").
  11. Ear-speakers!
  12. Dude, you need to quit being so aggressive with the Q-tips.
  13. I'm picturing Spritzer in front of a sewing machine, cursing, because leather always fucks up the needle or jams the thread.
  14. Just finished some yummy pho from Pho N More, and a froyo smoothie chaser from Red Mango.
  15. Hannibal Fuck, this is good. Hannibal: "Next time, please bring your wife, I'd love to have you both for dinner." Also, an exchange between morticians over a set of very grisly homicides: "Sugar water -- recovering alcoholics crave it." (directs next statement at fellow mortician) "Don't take that personally, buddy." Other moritician: "Oh, I'm not recovering." and the way he says it, it's like he was, but now he's not. Ever. And in case anyone doesn't know the premise of the show, this is Hannibal Lecter prequel, before he was found out, so he's a functioning psychologist...with a secret.
  16. ...AND macadamia nuts. Noice!
  17. Jumping jehosaphat, happy belated! (party favour noise with doppler effect)
  18. I knew there was a reason I loved that song so much.
  19. French toast with bananas in syrup?
  20. Thank you. It's so rare that people "get" me and my humour. Seanan McGuire's (auto)biography on Amazon:
  21. Spotify is awesome, but the apps are underwhelming. I immediately added the Blue Note app, and that was the last time I used it. The only app that was even remotely interesting was the Nick Cave and Lazify, and even Lazify never does what I want it to, but I keep trying.
  22. Those obviously aren't Roman columns, because then they'd be, "VI IX". barumpchik
  23. NewEgg is selling a TV mount on ShellShocker -- perhaps if someone buys it, they'll get a NAS? Or perhaps a Thomascrown tote bear.
  24. You have a built in AC3 decoder?
