  1. Damn Raffy, that's impressive. I've clocked 120 miles for March and feeling pretty good given the fact that we've had snow multiple times and the average daytime temps are still in the 40s. My goal for April is 200...
  2. Outstanding Vicki! Me: just got back from the usual 17+ mile loop around town. I pushed harder than was strictly necessary because I was hoping to go out for a much longer ride but life got in the way. Cranked pretty good for early in the year, about where I was 3 months into last year so it'll be fun to see if I can keep up the miles and get a little stronger this year.
  3. Happy Birthday Doug!

I wasn't offered anything. I did finally get my shipping refund though.

Ideally I think 4. But I never seem to have enough time to really get into it. I've half-assed it up to this point but my frustration is getting to the point where I'd like a long term solution even if it means a substantial investment.
  6. Best wishes, Larry.

got a refund from newegg today, but I have to call them to get them to refund my original shipping. That seems like a shady move to me. So I guess I'll be on the lookout for a good NAS device.

  9. Excellent news, Shelly! Glad to hear that you're back to enjoying the beautiful, beautiful music.
  10. Well done, Stretch! I'm hovering around 200 (haven't weighed myself in weeks though) but should be attacking that with regularity in the coming months with half-decent cycling weather finally upon us.
  11. I get two distinct images in my mind when picturing a watch that large. One is Flavor Flav and his clock, the other is the phone that was marketed back in the 80s for old people that had like 1" sqaure buttons so they were easy to read and press. Yeeeaahhh boyeeeee!

It would open my windows? No central air here in NH. It's pretty rare and usually only found in higher end homes. I don't have one of those. So we use a few window units which the Nest would never be able to control.

While that's a nice discount it's hard to justify spending $$ on heating stuff right now given that we're nearly at the end of the heating season.
  14. Infrastructure in general seems to be the mother of all assumptions these days, Dan. Nothing like hooking up bleeding edge components to an aged, increasingly frail supply line.
  15. I forgot about this thread. I'm off to a decent start with 100+ miles logged in March, a month that I essentially wrote off to bad weather. I'm hoping to get one more decent ~20mi ride in this coming weekend to cap things off. Turns out that with a little layering riding in the 30's isn't much different than skiing and at this point it's worth it just to be back out on the bike. Here's to April being a 200+mi month.
  16. I'm a low rpm guy. My theory is go with what works, none of us are going to be in the tour any time soon.
  17. Nice! I did the same loop as yesterday except is was 10 degrees warmer with 10mph lower winds. Felt like the first decent riding weather we've had this year.
  18. Depends if you go with the mini version or not. The standard stuff is pretty much the same iirc.
  19. I can't remember exactly why I switched but I've long been a fan of Mogami's quad mic cable and haven't used the Canare stuff for ages.
  20. Great news, Vicki!
  21. Hmmm, might need some help on the translation.
  22. Similar weather to last weekend but in light of the forecast (no change on the horizon) I said fuck it and went out for a short ride anyway. The 20+mph wind gust (out of the West) sucked for the last part of the ride.
  23. Al, sounds like fun. I'd be very interested in the Mojito recipe.
